Okay so I am going to change out the water pump, but my uncle thinks its the head gasket. The belt tensioner is in the way so thanks to you I know how to move it out of the way. If I change it out should I check out the head gaskets just incase. Oh I have a 2000 Nissan maxima standard.
If it’s a bad pump, it will leak from a weep hole on the pump. These pumps usually make noise when they go bad as well. Just replace the hose… chances are the hose needs to be changed anyway… and if that doesn’t fix it… then go after the pump…. it’s not a fun job.
I cant tell if its leakin from a hose on the engine or from around the pully. Any advice

Thanks! It’s a leak problem, not a noise, so I’m probably OK there. I did hear that many times the problem is actually bad O rings, so I’ll try swapping those first, fill it, and if that doesn’t solve the leak then I’ll grab a new pump too. I’ll start on a Saturday morning since I’m not a great mechanic, and maybe be done same day. Sure appreciate the video and reply!
It took a couple of evenings. I could probably do it in an afternoon, but I kept getting interrupted.
Before you do this job, check your harmonic balancer. On this car, the pump was fine, it was the harmonic balancer that was making all the noise.

I have a Infinii i30 1996, Cant get the crank bolt off , bought a impact wrench 250poundspsi .. wont come of , air tank is small and can only get 160 Pounds PSI gonna try a larger tank with higher air pressure but if you got any pointers I’d appreciate them.
