This video shows you how to install new forward lower control arms from TRQ on your 2003-2007 Infiniti G35. Control arms are a crucial part of the suspension system of your vehicle. They not only carry the load of the vehicle to the wheel, but they typically also maintain its alignment. Control arms are typically large and strong, so you may be surprised it needs replacing. They contain rubber bushings for smoother rides at the cost of eventual wear. When those bushings run out, that can have a negative impact on the ride and safety of your vehicle.
This repair was done on a 2005 INFINITI G35 X 3.5L Sedan 4-Door AWD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:

how to tell if it's the lower or the upper arm that is bad and need replacement?

We not gonna talk about how the Carter pin broke and he cut the frame??
I am curious why my lower ball joint came with a castle nut that is essentially made out of plastic and doesn't have threads on the inside. What is this for? I've already installed the new ball joint and control arm and there are not enough threads at the top for this plastic spacer castle nut looking thing. It appears there is about 1/16 in room to put a cotter pin in there but that is not enough room and I already torqued the nut to 59ftlbs per the manual. It kind of sucks because now there is too much room for the cotter pin so I guess I will have to bend it down to put pressure on the nut or something.
