This video and the one following it were perfect for replacing lock
tumbler, switch, & whole works from my 2003 Nissan Frontier 4dr. Pickup,
even same grey interior & plastic around steering column. Didn’t lower
steering column, I know it’s tight to drill out security bolts w/ standard
cordless drill, I tried – so used a dremel with small cut off wheel to
grind slots in bolt heads, only grooved the aluminum around heads slightly,
then used normal flat #2 sscrewdriver to remove-bolts not tight at all.
Saved grooved bolts to reinstall didn’t use breakoff ones. Thx

+ Carlos Roberto, on the video about the Sharp Aquos Crystal, you commented
and said you have the phone. Do you mean you have the Sharp Aquos Crystal?
If so,I would appreciate it if you could tell me your feedback on it, and
ask if you recommend the phone.

Hey Steve, thanks for uploading this excellent video on Nissan trucks. I
have just about the same thing but mine’s a 97 Nissan pathfinder. it’s
truly appreciated that you take the time out to videotape and upload
information that is so useful. I subbed your channel and have a brain
teaser for you concerning my Nissan pathfinder.

TheMrchris1234 says:

Hey,
I have a brain teaser that I was wondering if you can help me with.
I have a 97 Nissan Pathfinder with 3.3 liter V6, about once a day the truck
just stalls and when it stalls all the key -on run circuit goes black, no
gauges, temp gauges, nothing.. It’s like the ignition is going into
accessory mode on it’s on while I‘m driving.

The radio and everything else on the accessory circuits stays on, and the
key doesn’t move from it’s on position but everything on the key-on circuit
dies, but I’m able to start it right back up every time. Once when it
happened in a parking lot I just stared at the dash gauges and waited.. In
about 15 seconds all the key on power came back on and all the gauges
started working again.
I swapped the ignition relay with the air conditioning relay because
they’re the same one to see if the relay is bad and it still does the same
thing.

I worked in a garage as an ASE mechanic for 6 years after graduating
automotive school back in the day and now work as a repair tech in the
equipment repair field so I know cars, electrical and machines but this
just doesn’t make any logical sense. I’m suspecting the ignition switch
assy. I shook all the wires while truck was running to see if loose wires
are the problem.. Nothing! Sometimes it goes for 3 days with no problem.
Any thoughts on what it could be? I cleaned all the battery and cable
grounds to engine block also. I doesn’t stay in the stall state long enough
for me to troubleshoot it by checking for power to key points in wiring
harness.
