How To Install Recaro Seats Into An Infiniti G35/V35 Skyline |VQ35DE

In today’s video I decided to change to factory seats out as my original seat two of the motors stopped working. I had fixed that wobbly seats so many times and it was due for an upgrade. This was definitely the most difficult install i have done regarding seats on any car. I wouldn’t advise cutting up the rails if you are not confident welding as this could potentially be a safety issue. I also am not advocating to removing airbags from a vehicle. I am just showing you how to do it.

Man, that was a huge effort to get them in! They look great. Do you think you would have had the same issue with side mount brackets or genuine brackets/rails from recaro or sparco?

Nice video, super informative. I did bride reps in my V35 sedan and had all same issues. To get seats even height I ditched the sliders from driver side and just fixed the driver seat exactly where I wanted it, I’m 5’10”. So yeah I need seat forward. Passenger side is still a little bit low even with 10mm spacers between mount and slider. The bride reps are super comfortable though and perfect hold for drift. My big issue with these products is the grade of steel used in mounts and seat frames. I am pretty sure the steel is not high tensile in seat frames because I did have a little nose to tail at drift track and removed seats for inspection only to find a bend in driver seat base steel frame. Not sure how crank is getting ADR for these. I actually work in mechanical testing industry btw. I’m tempted to try and do a carbon equivalent test on mine to find the grade of steel used.

Hey Jarrod, what recaro seats are they and what did you do about the side airbag sensors for the original seats?
