A 1 TB hard drive? Ha! I remember when that was a lot!
Whereas nowadays it’s….it’s….yeah 1 TB I wish I had that much.
I’m looking inside my computer tower & inside of it,…it doesn’t look
anything like that computer on the video. so I wouldn’t know where to put
in the hard drive. all I want is for my computer to be faster & have more
room…memory. My tower is a Dell Dimension 2200. can anyone help me
please? Thank you.
Guys, I need some help. I recently got a new PC and wanted to put into it
my 1 TB Hard drive from my other computer. I open up both computers, unplug
the cables connecting the old hard drive (SATA cable, Power cable, etc…)
and plug it into the new one. There was an issue with it in which that the
bay that I tried putting it into (The bay that you need to use screws for)
didn’t match the screw holes, so I installed it without sliding it all the
way in (Is this where I screwed up?). I put the case back on, plugged
everything back in (including the power cord, which wasn’t from the new
tower, it was from the other one), and started up the computer. When I
turned it on, it seemed to work at first, but when it went to the “Starting
Windows” screen, it froze, and automatically restarted my computer. I went
to Startup Repair, it couldn’t find anything wrong. Went to System Restore,
but the restore failed. Did Memory Diagnostic tests, nothing was found, did
a normal Diagnostic test to check if all hardware was working fine, it said
everything was fine. My last resort is to switch the power cords (maybe
that could be the problem?) with a cord from a different computer that
seemed to work when I first tried it. If there are any other suggestions,
please let me know ASAP. This new PC is a HUGE upgrade from my old one, and
I really want to put in my 1 TB Hard Drive into it (My back is sort of
against a wall in this situation…. ^_^;).

Do you need to screw in the hardrive?
I did exactly what it says but it wont show up on my computer. My SSD is
out of space.
An 80GB hard drive? That computer must be 15 years old
hard drive.
This seems all well and good for installing a new drive. What I want to do
is transfer as a second drive a loaded drive from a crashed computer. Can
I do this without losing my data?
i have 80 gb hard drive and now its almost full but its okay i have new
computer parts soon and i having a 500 gb segate hard drive
@kuyajhet Yes but Mac OS X wont work in there!
thank you, i was going to take mine to the shop to get new hard drive
installed. saved me some cash there.
@Silverjda Who downloads pr0n?
Once you install your HD though and format it, you don’t really get that
full 1024Gb. So what’s the point?
Yes, but most common people refer to it as 1000GB because it’s easier to
round it down than sound highly arrogant and be like “No, it’s 1024GB”
that’s a lot of porn…
installing hard drive in dvd drive with brackets 😉 /watch?v=kUP3oe1pAWE
How do you format a used hard drive? 😮
