Well I just finished. That was pretty easy. Took 10 minutes. I would like to note on my 2004 coupe, there was 3 wires connected to the glove box. I disconnected the one you did but left the others and just installed the filter around them, just a little wiggling and done!

thinkboutit says:

Thank you! I’m about to go install mine in my coupe now! Bought it from Walmart for $16. The fresh breeze one or something..

Great vid series. I’m inspired to take care if that dirty gym sock smell in the cabin now. I know YouTube won’t post links, but can someone recommend an aftermarket filter that’s better than the OEM? I’m getting serious about my air quality and want to know if there’s a product that’s comparable with the best home HEPA electrostatic filters. Time to toss the Christmas Tree air “freshener” and breathe easy. Thanks again

Ross Elliott says:

Excellent video, thanks guys.

G2IntegraDA says:

Thanks for the video and Eugene. You helped my swap out my clutch and flywheel in the past. I watched this video for my cabin air filter and now I referenced it again for the glove box light. 🙂 Just wanted to say thanks again for all your help with your work and your videos. Cheers!

david carmenate says:

Great vid. Knew I needed to tackle this when I bought the car this week. It was horribly dirty and only took 10 minutes to replace thank to your help!

faizan khan says:

Thank you! That was easier than it actually looks in the video. Much appreciated

Justin Taft says:

I unplugged the airbag wire and reattached it and now theres an airbag warning light flashing on the dash, i can just clear this right with an engine decoder ?

Don F says:

Thanks, I was able to do it fairly easily thanks to your video. Also did the engine air filter, thanks again!

TVconrad says:

would it matter if you put it upside down by accident and if you did would you be able to know ? my new cabin charcoal filter doesnt have an direction to put it or any words. doesnt say upside down .. no pointing arrows… someone please help

Randy Godinez says:

followed step by step!! thanks man! i finished as well in less than 15mins it was super dirty down there. the only diference its that mines is nav so it just had a couple clips more but thats no trouble!

ZuluComander says:

i did this but now there is a dash light blinking at me it looks like it has to do with the airbags. i got all the wires plugged back in right how do i reset it

BoingBear35 says:

my cabin air filter didnt have any arrows pointing which way the air flow is flowing. does it matter? i bought an OEM cabin air filter too.

abhele16 says:

can you spray lightly a scent over the filter?

eturkov says:

sorry, looks like I gave you the dimensions for the engine air filter, not the cabin air filter. sorry 🙂

SpeedKid117 says:

Arrrrgh… Youtube won’t let me post a website address. That description says…
Length: 8 1/2″
Width: 7 13/16″
Thickness: 1 3/16″
which is equivalent to
216mm(length)
198mm(width)
30mm(thickness)

SpeedKid117 says:

According to that description and the ones I found elsewhere, the dimensions you’ve kindly given me is way off. Is that the one you’ve really used?

I am not getting this ebay filter but the demensions(inches) in the description states 216mm(length)x198mm(width)x30mm(thickness) and it fits all 2003-2007 G series.

eturkov says:

28cm x 16.5cm x 3cm (approximate dimensions)

SpeedKid117 says:

Could anyone please tell me the dimensions of that filter? I have to know whether it’s “200mm x 229mm x 30mm” or “200mm x 216mm x 30mm” or something else. Please please anyone, I really need it.

Eugene Torres says:

thanks for this instructional! you saved me a lot of time and money, keep up the good work!

Vin Mega says:

You are the best. You have saved me countless hours keeping my G35 top notch.
Thanks.

lafan313 says:

I just did this on an 06 g35x. You definitely have to remove the trim pieces because one of the screws (2nd to last in video) is a pain to get to without doing so. Just use some elbow grease and all the pieces pop out without a problem and back in looking clean as stock.

Thanks for cool vid !!!!!!!!!

Thanks for posting. I watched this on my iPhone in the garage and was able to follow your directions step by step. I used a non OEM charcoal filter (dealer wanted $88 for just the filter not including labor).
