I am not sure, but given my limited knowledge with Infinity products with the 3.5L VQ Engine, I thought that there were changes every few years which would make it difficult to swap in an engine, even from an FX35, let alone a Murano. Something like 2004-2006 Infinity 3.5L would not swap out with 2007+ 3.5L and a few things down the line. THINKING about that, though, if it was stripped of all the ancillaries and was a bare 3.5L long block assembly, it may swap out as the base architecture may be the same. For me, the starter and motor mount locations, and the transmission bolt holes and dowels would be my first place to compare the two as the Murano’s transverse setup could be vastly different from the Infinity’s.

Was not very helpful because pulling the front bumper and clip off is the most important step and that was not shown in detail
Did you find out if the Murano 3.5 block fits in the fx35?
Just as a FYI, Nissan’s 3.5 is a different engine than infinity 3.5! I know you wouldn’t think so…
