Very nice video part 1 & 2 .I never seen that in 25 years .The solder is
maybe not the same meltingpoint as electronic things, but higher.
Very fine video !

MalawisLilleKanal says:

I have just installed the sliprings and soldered. Still – I am a bit unsure
weather there should be a connection between the two copper-rings. There
are no connection to ground from either, but they do connect to eachother,
is this as it should be?

alternator..

Charles Brewer says:

Thank you so much for taking the time to show us this. Some very valuable
knowledge here. It is hard these days to get anyone to actually repair
something, they all want to replace the whole component! At our expense of
course! Thank you again!

Kane McGarity says:

That was a great video man :-). I’ve been having a hard time with this, but
this will definitely help out a lot :-). Is changing one off a NipponDenso
basically the same way?

wojtassmaniak says:

150A Valeo rotors also got same faulty with moving coil. Not so much as
125A, but also got.

nixxonnor says:

Nice video. This guy has the biggest soldering iron out there…

seanwatson230357 says:

excellent

wojtassmaniak says:

Beeping is not to good to test, you should test the resistance and it
should be something like 2-4 Ohm for 12V rotor. Beeping will be also for
0,5Ohm but it will be faulty.

David Rodrigues says:

Excellent video.. anybody knows some good soldering wired to make this type
of jobs at good price? mine, is very weak..

Harry Hovenstine says:

And all this time,I thought they used a lathe, and expensive test equipment
, to do that.

Guess they fooled me…or someone did.

alec clarke says:

yobrojoost says:

Great stuff, this is saving me a lot of money! Ok, it takes a bit of time
but it’s a good feeling to have done it yourself. Thanks for posting!

George Ioannou says:

how to fix pajero mk1 ALTERNATOR

HamFists says:

He looks like Michael Schumacher…

Jason Burt says:

Looks good. I recommend you use a higher quality bearing or pull the
seals, clean the old grease and use a high quality moly grease. Those
bearings will be noisy in no time. Alternator bearings are subjected to
immense heat and electrolysis. With that you will have an A1 top quality
rebuild that will last as long as the brushes.

skejt119 says:

really helped me

Awesome

Whitecranemaster1 says:

Hi Martin,
I have been doing my own work on my cars over the years (Not a
professional) and on occasion would be without my vehicle for between 1
week and ten day waiting for replacement parts, (Alternator, Starter etc).
I always assumed that it was financially not worth repairing such items.
THANK YOU, you have opened my eyes, I could have repaired alternator or
stater in hours. By the way Kudos on your E-Bay store, excellent
availability and advice..

Again Thank You for all your advice here.
