Daniel Roman says:

This helped me out as well. I live in Virginia. I did this on my 07 and
my car is still shaking. I am going to replace the coil in cylinder #1.
Thanks for the video great tutorial.

proverbs26verse11 says:

I own two 2011 Accents (manual) with close to the same mileage 37,000 miles
on each and the factory plugs went bad on both cars already. The
maintenance manual that came with both cars says 12 months or 15,000.

proverbs26verse11 says:

I bought my directly from the dealership for my 2011 Accent and they said
they come with the correct gap. I installed the plugs today and the car
runs fine now!

proverbs26verse11 says:

I bought the plugs from the dealership and they said they were already had
the correct gap for my 2011 Accent. Today I replaced all four plugs and it
runs fine now, no misfire. If the gaps were wrong, I do not notice it
because it runs fine now.

proverbs26verse11 says:

Thank you, I had no clue of how to safely disconnect the coil wires with
those clips. Your video showed me how to do it correctly without breaking
them and allowed me to replace my own plugs. Your care to share this video
with your knowledge saved me over $100 from having the dealer do it. My
2011 Accent has 37K on it and started to misfire bad, then threw the engine
light flashing and then solid. After changing all the plugs, everything is
fine now! Thanks again!

Autotechviewpoint says:

Yes if you replace the coil for cylinder #3 and it is the reason for the
misfire, it will fix it

jbryant0118 says:

Change the spark plugs on mine because code read misfire in third cylinder.
This didn’t fix it. I think I should try the coils next? Would replacing
only the third be sufficient to fix my problem?

jbryant0118 says:

Just changed the spark plugs on my ’09 accent. The car is still shaking.
Want to try the coils next. Code is reading misfire in third cylinder.
Would replacing the one coil be sufficient?

Matt Olson says:

Is that special 5/8″ socket required to do this? Or would a standard 5/8″
socket work?

Autotechviewpoint says:

Kind of special. Spark plug sockets have rubber inside to grip the plug so
you can pull it out with the socket. Otherwise you can use a deep socket,
but have to use magnet or fingers or something to get the plugs out.

atoplesscoed says:

Yea the gap would be nice

HobbyMachinistFlics says:

Thanks for sharing the knowledge.

apclark88 says:

My 09 accent is throwing a miss fire code in cylinder 4… Don’t kno if u
count left to right or right to left. Little help please

MrSteve123123123 says:

great video dude. very simple, best to do yourself.

Jason Wright says:

Great video, thanks for the info. North Carolina, United States.

Francisco Quinones says:

About to replace thanks from Puerto Rico

Tyler Gehauf says:

At how many miles did you decide to replace the plugs? Mine has 84K, never
been replaced. Probably due… Also, that’s a dual over-head cam sir.

ahtoh1 says:

What spark plugs do you recommend? Standard copper? Would the car benefit
from fancy expensive plugs? Such as NGK Iridium or something like that.

Autotechviewpoint says:

The number one cylinder is next to the timing belt (chain), so 1,2,3,4
counting from the timing belt (chain) end

ifyoumust00 says:

thanks! i got a quote of $240 from my local shop (what?!?), told them to
pound tar and with your help was able to get this done!

AL FAISAL says:

thank you good video . saudi arabia

Autotechviewpoint says:

Usually expensive means you can leave them in longer. 50-100,000 miles. I
would recommend whatever the car came with from the factory, do not go for
the gimmicky spark plugs, 3-4 electrode plug types…

gereral1 says:

I replaced mine after 3 years, 65 thos klm on my 2009 hyundai accent. i
torqued mine to 19 foot pounds according to the service manual. I used
platinum OEM spark plugs purchased from Hyundai and did not apply anti
seize. You do not need to if you do this according to the service
intervals. Torque them to prevent stripping. Buy your self an inch pound
manual torque wrench that goes from 0-50 foot pounds to do this.

joshua a says:

You never put in a gap on the plugs

as df says:

Good video thanks. I’m about to replace mine. Hi from Canada.

Dustin Frye says:

Thanks for letting me see what I am getting in to on Saturday. My accent
made it 74k before the third cylinder started to misfire. I am going to
start with this first. Thanks!

steve syvan says:
