How to replace Hyundai key cover – not easy

My hyundai i40 flip key was not flipping in anymore. So I bought a ney key cover from ebay, watched some movies on youtube and I sow it was easy so I have proceeded to replace the cover.
It seems that mine was different as all the youtube movies were saying it will pop open ease. Mine didn’t want to open at all so I had to brute force it open.
I am showing you all the process.

For those interested in who I am you can find below a short presentation.

My name is Daniel, I am an electronic engineer who started from some time to work with wood. Wood was a passion of mine since my childhood when I grew with my uncle who was a woodworker.

When I was about 35 I bought a CNC machine and made several things with it.

Working with wood I needed some cutting tools so I had to buy hand planes and chisels. They needed to be sharpened so I have discovered whetstones and I have another passion now: sharpening. I like sharpening and I discover how relaxing is to sharpen a kitchen knife. I am not a specialist, I am a self though from what I read and from other people movies.

On my channel you can find movies with what I do in my workshop: sharpening, some woodworking, repairing things and whatever I have to do and I consider it might be interesting for you.

I am sure that you don’t like all my movies. There is no problem, it is normal. πŸ™‚ If you would like to tell me your opinions please be civilized. πŸ™‚ But I hope that you like them at list 99.99%. πŸ™‚

Thank you for watching and as I already told you in the movie please support me with a like, comment, share, subscribe, etc. Any of them are important to me.

Thank you for the video. I saw several before yours, where they just popped open with pliers. But I almost destroyed mine doing this. So when I searched further, and found your video with a successful outcome, I realised I could go gang busters to free the contents. Anyway got it all out and fitted new fob. Works a treat!!!

So, I am laughing my ass off at the end when you find that there was one screw in the back under the logo insert that would have saved you all of that trouble. I figured you were going to totally destroy the fob and the circuit board and chip inside. You didn't even show if it still worked after all of that so I have to ask… did it? And you shouldn't be allowed to play with sharp objects.
