I just did the brakes on an 05 Elantra and there is no pressure on my break pedal when driving forward. The brakes work but my pedal has to go almost all the way to the floor. I’m new to fixing cars so can you tell me if i did something wrong? I did everything exactly like this video.
handy little screws eh! try telling that to my ones
Before you remove the disc from the hub you should mark one of the wheel studs and put circle around it on the disc so if you are refitting the same disc it goes back in the same place that it has worn into.
Yeah no problem.
tnk!!
Thank you, great video. If you would have shine a light on your work area would have been more helpful for inexperienced peoples.
Your vid was very informative thank you!
Thank you. Great job
Im doing brakes on a 05 santa Fe. do they have rotors in rear? are they just like this?
Dude, youtube is the most helpful thing ever made. I learned alot about working on my car and saved a shitload of money. Every guy should know how to do this
Great explaination of brake pad R&R. Quick note about vehicles with ABS; be sure to open the bleeder screw when pushing the piston back in to prevent damage to the ABS unit.
Helpful. Thanks!
very helpful. i just did the rear rotors on my 03 sonata but to do the fronts i assumed the nut/cotter pin had to be removed and bearings would need to be greased but i see that’s not the case with the elantra so maybe the sonata is the same?
Nice video. Are you going to do the rear drums on that Elantra by any chance??
Hey nice how to man.
no, I dont have access to one right now, but if it’s just front brake pads they should be non-captured, so it should be just as simple as it is in this video. But if they’re the rotors with the bearings in em it’s not that hard you just got to grease the bearings and glob some grease back in there.
can you do a Chevy s 10
