Hugo Sanchez…sorry for not seeing and replying to your question.
i would replace the bearings….that should slove the problem.
as for the brake lines, replace them with flexible metal lines and they
will provide proper pressure to the caliper piston for proper braking.
Did you check caliper pins? caliper pins boots? Did you clean them and add
silicon grease? Did you check the caliper piston boot, did you clean it and
add some grease like : Sil-glyde?
Did you add some caliper grease to metal contact and the caliper piston
itself?
When you compress the caliper piston back, did you open the reservoir cap
before push it?
You said you did 120.000 miles before change those parts? 120.000 miles
with half of pads, that’s very weird.
was hoping to see how the caliper bracket was removed…nice video
though…
Man I wished I would’ve watched this video before I tried to change mine.
After I changed the front brakes my car would sound like an airplane
landing when I would hit the brakes.Swoosh.That turned into a grinding
noise.Just yesterday I changed the driver CV axle hoping that would fix the
grinding noise but no.Now my break line is leaking and spitting oil all
over my inner tire plus still got a grinding noise. It grinds after 20 mph
without stepping on brakes I’m thinking replace wheel bearings?
You should have seen this video before buying 🙂 They had a friend and
family sale going on and if you push enough they will usually give Lee the
price and give you what they call a 10 to 15 percent off….besides I
bought like quite a few things…that also helps.
WTF? I just bought these same rotors for $53 each. How did you haggle with
Napa to get two for 60? Did they have a sale going on or they gave you some
coupons?
how many miles do you have on the car? have you changed out the fuel filter
on the car yet? if not and you are at lets say 70k+ miles, then i would
advise you to change out the fuel filter….there is a write up on the
elantraxd site for how to do this. its very easy and but takes a bit of
time. the reason why i say this is, in the last step of the filter change,
you fill the housing of the filter with 100% seafoam. when car starts, it
cleans the injectors. nothing better than this.
Thanks good work. Do you know howto clean the fluid injector on this
hyndai? I am planning to domine and would like to get your advise.
