Where is the usb port in these?
your getz looks so clean no dirth at all like a brand new car.
Great video! Exactly all of the information and steps I'm after. Cheers.
How did you remove the window crank
I'm doing this exact project now in the same car (3 door) and the rear is actually a 4 inch for anyone's interest.
They make quick connectors so you dont need to cut or splice anything
For the rear you should have switched the brackets left to right and right to left , more room for speakers and less chance on vibrations
possibly buying a getz off my brother, and one of the rear speakers sounds like that lol
gonna get a whole new ass sub, amp, radio, speakers and everything
nice work!.
Thanks needed some background info for my upgrade, now just need to get an inverter and then drop in my 2x Logitech Z623 2.1 Speakers, Subwoofers will sit in the footwell so passengers can place there feet either side of them and the satellites will probably be gaffa taped to the rear head rests….. :-{D
Got the JVC Speakers installed in the front of mine now. Sounding Good. Tip: I just unsoldered the wires from the old speakers and re-soldered to the spade terminals on the new ones – no need to cut wires or use heat shrink. My Getz has electric windows, so no crank handle to remove, but a couple of connectors to remove at the back of the door panel if you want to get it right out of the way.
Nice video. I left you a comment on your other video about the purchase. So, the front speakers are 6.5 inch, but what is the size of the rear speakers then? Do you think it'd be the same for a 2006 5-door Getz? I wanna do the same upgrade but don't want to drill any additional holes to the frame.
Cheers mate
Imagine my surprise at the first YouTube video I find on replacing Getz speakers is not only Australian, but in my local area!
Looks like you didn't replace the tweeters above the front door panels? But I know what size to get now, if I'm going to replace the speakers. Will probably just do the front at first and see what difference that makes. Very useful.
What speaker adapter brand and part number did you use for the front speakers?
Hey mate, thinking of buying a Getz and learning on manual with one, or a swift or a similar hatchback, does the low power of most of the 4cyls help with getting used to clutching?
