For freeway commuting in non severe weather how often (#of miles) would you
recommend oil changes for the Elantra? The owners Manual has maintenance
listed as every 7500 miles. That seems a bit high?

Thanks brother.

I don’t know jack about cars. So I’m gonna ask your opinion as I have to
make a purchase soon. Taking everything (maintenance, build quality..etc.)
into account, which would you say is a better purchase for reliable long
term, headache free operation :

Elantra GL (2013), Mazda 3 (2013) or Nissan Juke SV

I live in a northern climate and do about 15k miles a year, mostly highway.

Thanks

Car does not call for synthetic blend oil.

Does the oil filter always drip that much when it’s unscrewed? Seems like
it shouldn’t drip at all once the oil is out of the pan. My Saturn used
cartridge style filters so I haven’t had to change a standard can type
filter since my 89 shadow. The filter on the shadow mounted horizontally
and it didn’t drip as much as this one.

Good video. A little quiet hard to hear you but still good. Just got mine
and plan to do an oil change on it. And was curious where everyone was
before I go under the hood.
