Oranger37 says:

i have an 05 elantra with a bad auto, im wondering if anyone out there
knows if i can drop just the trans, or if i have to pull the motor&trans.
Its looking like i have to pull the whole thing because like this video
shows the sub-frame is in the way and thats even with the smaller manual
trans. If anyone has replaced an auto in an elantra plz msg me.

ok .. my first mechanic project was going to be to replace the clutch on my
2003 elantra.. i think ill take it in to the shop 😛

Peter Ralph says:

it can be done but it was a massive job. if you don’t need the car
immediately, it can be done. take your time and have some friends record
the progress and offer a helping hand. orrrrr take it to a shop!
