Thank bro, good vid, I'm loving my Elantra, I just want a little boost and some fuel economy, I wanna spruce it up, without going all rice boi on it…Good Vid❕
I have the same car and I'm looking to purchase a cold air intake for mine and install it, but did your car throw any O2 codes from not removing the resonator?
Thanks bro you make it like easy to do it yourself.
Looks like a good mod for a bit of sound. In my case removed the Air Box lid. Switched out just for the Pod Filter on the end. Has not upset or decreased the MPG. Breaths easier and on long highway journeys has slightly increased fuel efficiency
Oof heat soak
Are you on stock exhaust? Any noticeable difference after swapping to this SRI?
When I wash my motor do I need to cover up the filter with a bag now?
Okay, so Travis. My entire resonator box has been knocked out. Do I need to replace that or can I just do what you did and put a new intake in it?
A better intake would be one that incorporates the factory ducting that pulls air from outside the hot engine bay. That way your low end numbers would be increased with the bypass of the resonator box. Expect a drop in mpg though as with any increase of performance.
I am getting an AEM intake for my '18 elantra soon. Thanks for this.
No heatshield needed huh?
Any issues driving in heavy rain or freezing temps?
Thanks for this video! I have a 2019 with the 2.0 engine. Do you find your intake to be too loud or droning on the highway? I love how quiet our cars are on the road when stock and I want to keep that for the most part. Just looking for some growl when I floor it every now and then.
Will the check engine light Turn on because of this change to the car?
