that kinda sux but I guess they really dont want you screwing around with that stuff anyways. Have you replaced the subwoofer on the rear deck? I’m still waiting for the dealer to get the damn title so I can take it home and check it all out myself. I seen it when I was checking out trunk space for my last cars Sub and amp setup.

You will lose your radio warranty but nothing else. As far as I know the pickup hangup buttons cannot be programmed for that on this car with an aftermarket headunit. The steering wheel adapter only allows for certain functions and thats not one of them for those buttons.

Drewsifer Ledger says:

now after installing your own aftermarket stereo system does that effect your warrenty? I own the same vehicle and want to install my double din dvd/cd/gps/bluetooth calling… but would like to know if its possible to program the pickup button to access the phone on any stereo that has the option to use bluetooth.

Trying to install an amp in my 2012 sonata 2.0t. A little worried about starting to pull dash apart I’ve been looking haven’t found where to start pulling screws out or …..I guess where to start

DESCARADOS says:

what radio did you install?

fast851 says:

I ordered all the install material from crutchfield. Its the metra kit. The kit is ok, there were some fitment issues but nothing major. I would recommend the kit if you want an aftermarket radio. There are some vendors who have come out with screen replacements for the sonata. Hyudnai-forums The prices for their kists are a little pricey and you dont get as much as you would for a whole head unit swap out, but its decent for what it is.

can you share where you purchased the replacement dash kit n how well it fits???

fast851 says:

Very simple any novice can do it.

How hard was it to remove the dash and pull the factory stereo out?
