Unfortunately i don’t. I’ve changed the transmission fluid once before on
an older Camry. I’m sure the process would be similar on these cars. you
may be able to find a video for an older Sonata. Good luck

No problem. Yeah I’ve learned many things from watching YouTube videos and
thought it was time to give back. Hope it helped!

pinoyeh says:

Hey Matt, do you have a video how to change automatic transmission fluid
for the same car you have ?

GoldenShiner1 says:

yeah. they probally dont give out this info in the owner’s manual bcz they
want us to bring our cars into their service depts so they can charge us an
arm and a leg for an oil change -$90….meanwhile it would probally cost us
$20 for 5 quarts of oil and a filter…damn…as if they have not make
enough money off selling the cars already…shady shit.

Chris Martin says:

yea i found that out when i couldnt find a transmission dipstick. later
found out at a local hyundai dealer that the 2011 to present model sonata
all have a sealed trans. 2010 and older have the conventional type

Finn John says:

Thank you for doing this! I could not believe the owner’s manual wouldn’t
give this information … what a scam. Great car, though. I’m astonished at
how thoroughly everything’s been engineered.

StackItUp1 says:

You camera shy or something? Why no talking?

mattposton1982 says:

good to know thx

NYquest121 says:

Thanks for this video. Doing my first oil change on my ’13 Sonata later.

Chris Martin says:

the Sonata has a sealed transmission. it can only be done by a dealer

Glad it could help. Pay it forward
