02fastaudis4 says:

did you flush the old coolant out? i forgot to do that shit and now im
trying to figure out if the new radiator is trash?!

CarReality says:

Air bleeds out through the top of the radiator into the reservoir or if
there is an air control valve, open it!

THEBULLY365 says:

1993 mazda protege is this the same?

CarReality says:

Always top off your tranny fluid!

Ruben Rueda says:

dude that just helped me alot…but i have one question, aren’t you
supposed to burp it after you put in the antifreeze and stuff???

Etechcorps101 says:

You’re a life saver! I was going to get it replaced by my dealer and the
cost for the labor was about $170…. u piratically saved me that much
money… You’re the man!!!

spelunkerd says:

On my vehicles the transmission cooler is a separate condenser, but
evidently yours is all in one, with two separate fans. The only way to make
that kind of task look easy is if you’ve done it many times before. Thanks
for the summary. Why did you unclamp that one hose high at the engine
rather than at the radiator?

CarReality says:

You’re welcome!

CarReality says:

If you have old coolant, it is a good idea to flush it out of the system,
but that can be tricky with a garden hose. You don’t want your engine to
get too hot while doing it so you don’t crack your block.

CarReality says:

Each car is a bit different. Some are more difficult than others…

CarReality says:

not much will drain out. top it off when done.

1arsion says:

i spent 4 hours lol

CarReality says:

It is probably the temp sensor.

tayson89 says:

what happens to the transmission fluid? will it drain when you take out the
hose? even though the engine is not running?

CarReality says:

No, just did it fast cause I could on this car.

CarReality says:

Other things to do!

HatedWar says:

Very nice job. now you make me want to try mine, I got 92 acura legend
thinking to replace radiator. shop was asking $95 just the labor. maybe I
should try myself following your step step.

CarReality says:

It really took him 10min. It is an easy model of vehicle to do this on,
which is why he used it for the video.

skotnoctis says:

That looked just the inside of my 98 Accord.

TheAstro30 says:

@Savagekid25 probably some form of temp sensor for an auto fan?

bot06 says:

Are you using a drill or it is a an impact wrench. I have a drill (hitachi)
similar to yours I wonder if I can use it as a wrench on cars with proper
bits. Thanks

briansballard says:

I like the video, well done and thank you for it. However with that being
said, I’m skeptical on the real time frame of this project… I’d bet this
guy didnt do this under fifteen mins and Im guessing the car was prepped
beforehand. Dont go into your project thinking you can do it in fifteen
mins or youll be frustrated. It may take you an hour or longer, take your
time and do it right.

SuperShredder89 says:

wow the mechanic i just talked to said it would take 2 guys 2 hours to do.

Hoang D Phung says:

good stuffffffffffff

mdimarco87 says:

Can only see like half of what you are doing

adlai983 says:

Yo thx for posting this!! I just replaced mine in a ’93 honda accord. Some
notes for future diy-ers: 1. My condenser was warped in making it necessary
for me to remove it first, if you have to do this wear safety goggles! The
air is pressurized and it scared the crap outta me! 2. On the replacement
radiator I didn’t realize u have to tighten up the fittings that go to the
trans fluid – which led to tranny fluid leakage and me having to tighten
them while radiator was already installed. Thx!

mikey Riley says:

Very good, now I’m ready to go!

Santhosh Karuhatty says:

awesome dude… ! I have the same issue now.. will give it a shot 😉

bostontaxicab says:

There is no way in hell this would work on my ’95 Ford Windstar but hey
good video

thrallie200 says:

Took me about 2 hours longer than you, LOL! Than again I had issues with
transmission lines. Stupid old clips on my 94 legacy radiator really needed
to be replaced. I spent way too much time trying to fix them instead of
going to autozone and buying some hose clamps. Went ahead and make the trip
down there and finished my first radiator replacement. Thanks to youtube
and uploaders like yourself we can save a few hundred bucks on labor if we
are short on cash. Thanks!

DeviantStudios says:

Dude that was great, thanks a million!

Manolo Santana says:

Thanks mate, you saved my pay check this week!!!

Nick Swail says:

good video. btw im not a mechanic or anything like that but should
procedures like this really be rushed through?

RealityHits321 says:

Thanks a bunch! Similar car here, I may try to do this myself to save some
money thanks to your video.

littleelvisofMA says:

radiator transmission lines?

Chuck Mercer says:

Thanks man, my Mercury trio took a big green piss today 😛 This is gonna
really be helpful when i change out the rad.

Rubentheman1 says:

Hey why don’t you do a 10 min timing belt replacement…that i want to see
And to all that watch this don’t try this at home!..his what you call a
professional. Other wise if you try this..you will end up sending radiator
fluid down the wrong tube. Its okay if you spend 3-4hrs on your first try.
but overall video was nice! thumbs up!

CarReality says:

Results may vary for different cars:):):):)
