No problem Johnny, I appreciate the reply.I did not change out the brakes
yet, at least I have the hex bit and front pads ready now. I was distracted
by some random stalling issues over the last several months, a new fuel
pump seems to have finally solved the issue. I can focus on the brakes
again, I see that my rear rotors have tracks and an uneven surface, still
stopping well but not much time left I figure. Did you make a video on
changing out the rear pads and rotors by any chance? I never attempted the
rear rotors and have to be aware of the parking brake connection I believe,
so hope to find some detailed help.

Earl DaSquirrel says:

why did you change those pads? they seem to still have lots of life on them!

for my brother’s model, the front took Torx T45 and the rears are 7mm
hex… i guess it differs from the 9mm hex bolt that you have

PS: you can use the old brake pad w/ that c-clamp to compress the pistons
back in for the new ones

Johnny Vargas says:

Hey Speaknsee! That really helps me know that I am helping others out
there! Keep up the good work I am glad it helped!!!!!

Johnny Vargas says:

Hey Colin I am usually very very good at responding to questions but this
one slipped past me! IM SORRY! Did you do your brakes already!? If I
remember correctly it’s the same exact tools for the rear and front.
Removing the cap is not a MUST but it does help ensure that allllll of the
air leaves the braking system when draining it. It just helps you so it
doesn’t hurt to do it.

speaknsee says:

Thanks : used my iPad next to my truck with your tutorial and it went over
without a prob. Many o” thanks.

lmao youtube stalker

KingAndKing100 says:

Very good, except you might want to take the cap off the place where you
put brake fluid…or might loose a brake line.

Johnny Vargas says:

ANY TIME!

zleereed says:

Hey, Johnny, i’m a noob with a question. Do you do the brake bleed
procedure for each side after you replace them or do you do it once when
both are complete? Thank you!

Paul Dunn says:

DUDE thanks, your video saved me. I was getting nowhere fast till I watched
this… you sir are win.

Recon1Delta says:

You forgot to turn your rotors, so you just ruined your new brake pads!

1957ubersku says:

Johnny, what about the REAR brakes? Would like to see your budget method
for those!

Johnny Vargas says:

Hey Numbins! No problem! Glad I could be of service!

Johnny Vargas says:

@TheJoker61916 Hey Joker thanks so much for the comment! Yea these shops
wanna charge you hundreds for brakes when a good set of pads only costs
about $25. Yes bleeding the brakes is essential. You don’t want air in your
ABS system and your master cylinder and brake lines. If there’s too much
air your brakes will feel very spongey and will take you longer to stop and
could cause an accident. Since you have an 03 Expo you should subscribe
because I will be posting a lot pf vids using the Expo

Johnny Vargas says:

Hey zleereed! No question is a bad question. That’s an awesome one. YES!
You must bleed both sides. You want to repeat the process until the brakes
are nice and solid and you dont have that air sound coming out of them when
you hit the brakes. When replacing, bleed em both brother.

Johnny Vargas says:
