Pitman and Idler Arm replacement on a 2003 Hummer H2. This uses the same GMT-800 (1999-2006) platform found in Sierras/Silverados/Yukons/Suburban/ and Tahoes.
Some tricks will be different depending on the specific model and suspension modifications, but the process and work will be similar.
This is a somewhat frustrating task and having an assistant is almost required (as you will see in the video), but it can be accomplished with basic hand tools (wrenches/ratchets), although impacts and air-tools will greatly save time.
You will need a ball joint pulling tool of the style in the video. I didn’t put a part number down, because the jaws on my particular tool had to be ground down to fit over the components. Try to find one with wider jaws.
