i have a problem with my bike, ive been riding 4strokes for a long time so
this is my first two stroke, the thing is that i bought it used and it had
80 hours on it but it looks to be pretty clean inside the engine and stuff,
but after 2 days of testing my bike started to bog…. i finnished a
hillclimb and then it boged out i twist the throttle and it shuted of then
i had to kick it for 10 minutes it happened again (30minutes in total),
now i have to kick it for almost 20 minutes to go ride but when it starts
it bogs 🙁 please some tell me what can that be. i have really good
experience working with bikes but this thing is really killing me :/

Toyota fourwheelins says:

Thanks yeah i bought that Multimeter contraption

MJ Truck Repairs says:

@TedBouvier if its not that then check your stator (generator) to see if
its generating current (i explained this in the video) if its not that,
then its the CDI box. I think its your plug or ignition coil though, also
if you have a battery, make sure its charged completey.

Ricky Aujla says:

yo the wires are backwards

kawie95 says:

stator is in the engine behind the flywheel. probably have to do timing and
thr points or replace the flywheel.

Gee Vee says:

I have no spark what so ever

MJ Truck Repairs says:

@fdx424 you can’t repair one unless it has an internal fuse which is
unlikely, you must buy a new/ used one to replace it.

Chris Burgess says:

hi, i have a hongdou cg, and its still not sparking, its a copy of the
honda so ive changed the parts for honda that you usually would change for
no spark, cdi, coil, ht lead, new plug, new stator and even a new ignition
just incase that was somehow killing it because the kill switch wire from
the cdi goes to the ignition. any help would be great cheers btw in this
vid it says about the cdi been $100, find out if its a 5 or 6 pin wire,
then what cc it is, universal ones are about £6 ‘$8’?

A Reinhardt says:

Stay-tor = Stator. Not Stah-tor. Good vid.

vonzace says:

ok, heres the low down. My bike wont run, and im pretty damn sure its an
ignition problem. When i take the plug out and test for spark, I can here
it, but i dont see a spark. When plug is leaning up agianst the motor, the
spark jumps from the plug to the motor, and is extreamly bright. also, when
i take the plug off the wire, I can here the spark jumping somwhere, is
that bad? Any healing methods tht dont involve spendin money?

MJ Truck Repairs says:

need new stator, i had a yz250 with the same issue, it had spark, but it
was poor spark

M0N5T3R3N3RGYR4C1NG says:

I just bought a 1997 Yamaha yz 80 and I have had it for a few weeks and it
was running perfectly fine. Then one day I was out riding it around my
neighborhood and it was going just fine, all of the sudden it starts to
sputter and then dies. one of the tubes that connects to the carbeurator
didn’t fit right, so we changed that and then we tried to start it it
wouldn’t start, so we checked the gas and everything and it was fine. Then
we changed the spark plug and disconnected the kill switch.

zezimawanabefriends says:

im taking you watch 1pug life?

vonzace says:

thanks. ended up juss buyin a new coil and that did the job

AirmanHouser says:

I feel like an idiot.. Was totally checking my spark the wrong way.

Hooverdarnit says:

MJ Truck Repairs says:

@pilkytom14 sounds like your stator is bad, i would test it the same way i
showed you in the video, also take a look at your cdi, check if it is
cracked, if it is thats whats bad, hope this helped.

don’t blink.

srfdood says:

Dude my bike is being so dumb, its in a shop right now, they replaced both
the cdi and the stator with BRAND NEW ones, they tested the coil and they
said the resistance was fine and its a brand spanking new spark plug, they
disconnected the killswitch and they made sure the cdi was grounded
properly on a clean part of the frame im SO PISSED because I mean WTF could
be wrong you know!? Anyways…any ideas??
