good video..i having the same problem with 2010 chevrolet traverse awd
i had clean the front sensor while installing new f brake pads , but
still light is on again , my next step should be what you did…
good to know how it works ..

MrArdyl says:

Good video, like always on something you think is pretty straight forward
you can always learn something you didn’t know. Thanks

DRoche74 says:

hey brian i have a similar truck to this one, and am about to do the brakes
on it, pads and rotors all the way around. Just wanted to ask you what kind
of brakes you recommend. A lot of people tell me wagner but for the most
part no one really says much. Seems like brakes are kind of like a hit or
miss part, some have great luck with napa brakes other dont. So just wanted
to get your opinion. Thanks Dan

OTC Genisys. (Overpriced Total Crap- locked out of everything useful)

Usernameinvalid16 says:

ill ever own in my life.

Usernameinvalid16 says:

Yes. Completely worth your money.

SuperDd40 says:

i got a gm envoy with no ABS light when ignition key is turned on anybody
knows what it could be ?

briansmobile1 says:

I used to work nights there when I was in college. Duralast is a brand- not
a manufacturer. It’s just a box color scheme. I can’t say that I use them
for about three years now. They really have gone to the dogs.

killerguitars52 says:

What kind of scan tool are you using here?

briansmobile1 says:

Pretty similar.

dryroasted99 says:

good video. Keep it up.

Bryan Burden says:

brian what wrong with using a air chisel in between the spindal and the
bearing base

briansmobile1 says:

OTC Genisys. It was overpriced at $4K.

briansmobile1 says:

It’s an OTC Genisys. I was a beta tester for the 2.0. It was free.

steve Icky says:

haha seal! great humor…. keeps me watching

briansmobile1 says:

Raise the wheel in question and secure the vehicle on jack stands.
Wiggle/jerk test the wheel in question top and bottom as well as on the
sides. If you have play both ways- replace the hub.

Erich Pink says:

Thanks for making.

Johnny Rodriguez says:

I really like your videos but i wish you would go more into detail. you
give great explanation but like you said in this video…you hate to edit.
i feel like if you went more in depth into using the wheel as a hydraulic
press, it would have been more fascinating to watch. Just my opinion. keep
up the great work. sincerely, fan

Johnny Rocket says:

Why do you buy garbage from autozone?? I have never had any of that garbage
last anywhere near the amount of time it should. The end of it all was when
the friction material of a brake pad came unglued from the back of the pad.
Those duralast parts arent safe.

Plan36c says:

So how do you know that it isn’t balljoints & tie rods? Just by looking to
see whats moving?

sirsmokealot8546 says:

Hey Brian. I have a 02 duramax. I have had the abs light on like you say
but I scanned it and it said something about the abs pump. Now when I turn
the wheel at low speeds or at a stop it squeaks when turning left and
right. I have heard that’s a gm wheel bearing also but never showed up on a
scan. What do you think boss ? Wheel bearing ? Strut ? Ball joint ? Thanks !

Steve Rob says:

Hey Brian great vid as usual, your the real deal. I have had good luck with
a tool from Lisle that attaches to my air chisel and fits over the bolt
head and burps out the bearing no problem, worth checking out, fits chev or
dodge, under $20 bucks. LIS39300

briansmobile1 says:

OTC Genysis

scottinalaska says:

Excellent idea on freeing that stubborn bearing assembly using the power
steering. Love it! I have spent too much time with the sledge and never
thought of that!

briansmobile1 says:

A guy that does NOTHING but axle work all day every day for decades taught
me that. (Kevin at Six States Distributors)

Ean Turner says:

lift and meaty tires Brian, lift and meaty tires!

hoss8505 says:

Its crazy that you say the sensors last forever but yet yours is cracked?
Weird.

Usernameinvalid16 says:

hey brian So basically that Thing is just like a Pick up Coil for a CDI
right?

coolcleve18 says:

i have a 2006 quest went to change wheel bearing now the abs a nd traction
light is on whats the problem

briansmobile1 says:

Right on!

MoneyMarcMes says:

Are Duramax Diesels pretty reliable and easy to work on as well?

Randy Banks says:

Brian, Is that also called a reluctor ring?

Roly Wiener says:

Not sure how much you pay for your hubs..over here in Europe they want $300
plus for a stub axle with the bearing in it. Main reason why the Corollas
in the UK are in the breakers yards after 10 years max. Last ones we got
were direct from Taiwan. Cost US $57 pus the air freight.
