I’ve replaced and popped almost 8 tubes in one month. I don’t get more than
1-2 rides per tube. I don’t know what the fuck i’m doing wrong. . My last
tube didn’t puncture, it popped. When i removed it, it had a 1 inch ripp
across it, worst failure yet..

Thomas Wong says:

Thank you for a really nice, succinct, professional bicycle tube changing
video. I now feel fully confident about changing a tire tube.

Jonathan Flowers says:

Nice video! Thanks!!

aceblindfire says:

Little tip I know the guy says to not use a tool when aligning the second
half of the tire with the rim but a rounded blunt dinner knive can really
be a god send when doing the last portion of the tyre especially with
thicker tyres like all weather or gatorskins ect

Chris Nungesser says:

Thanks for the helpful video.

Bob Bartley says:

Paul Nicolas Ogumoro says:

just like a car … learning to change your tires for the bike is basic
essential. Happy riding!

sierradelta07 says:

As aceblindfire below said, I found that for getting the last bit of the
tyre on I really needed a blunt tool. Impossible otherwise. Apart from that
this video really helped. I’d been struggling for 30 mins before I had the
common sense to watch.

Too much distraction on the background. Too many bikes.

CanadaBicycleParts says:

@remon2727 Hi there, the skinnier valve is called a presta valve. You can
either use a bike pump (which does both schrader and presta valves) or use
a presta valve adapter which converts your bike’s presta valve into a
conventional schrader so that you can use a normal pump or a compressor.

best youtube on-line video tutorial for changing a bike tire! thanks!

Brett Jones says:

Thanks for posting this. I haven’t ridden my bike in a few years…anyway,
long story short, after yelling and swearing at an inanimate tire for 45
minutes, I watched this, and did it in five minutes. Thanks.

Victoria Best says:

thank you

Rumble Roar says:

Thanks! I’ve never changed a tire and was scared to try. This helped a ton

clear82star says:

Because if you were on your smallest cog AND smallest chainring, then you
would be “cross-chaining” which puts unnecessary stress on your derailleurs
and chain. You should instead be on a large cog and small chainring or vice
versa…

Michael Mortimer says:

Great video. You covered the part where I always have trouble, getting the
last part over the rim, after the tube is installed. I’ll try that rolling
technique you use. (And also let all the air out once the tube is installed
completely. DOH!) Also, love the levers you have. Mine are little plastic
4″ levers where I can’t get much leverage and the levers give under
pressure. I want to get some metals ones like you use. I assume those are
aluminum so they don’t weigh me down on rides.

SeaMonkey137 says:

Nice video. Just replaced my first set of tires with your help. Merci!

lacurapuneta says:

Thank you for the tips. It made things so much easier for a novice like
myself. Thats what I’m talking abooot!

Kevin Swartz says:

Excellent video. Thank!

MaryCCatterton says:

It is done! Two new tires are on my bike. Remon… you are a genius! I’m
now going out to ride – and hopefully they won’t blow off! 🙂 Actually –
it’s akin to packing your own parachute… all the skills in the long term
add confidence. Thank you so very much! God bless.

Participant says:

Just bust two tubes using levers to reseat tyre…will try this method
instead, thanks!

10after Consulting says:

Wow! Thanks for the great instruction! Very informative and thorough. I
like that you used the ‘rear wheel’ example and made it look so easy. Now I
am not scared of getting a flat in my rear wheel. The tip for setting the
chain on the smallest gears prior to taking the wheel off is very helpful
too!
