any help ?

Ronda says:

How did you get your remote start to work?

MrJelle2503 says:

Try measuring your contact for a 100ohm resistor with a multimeter. My
Kawasaki ER6-N has it too. It cuts down the voltage in the contact to 10v
and feeds this into the ECU. If this wire is 12 volt, like it likely was in
your situation, it wouldn’t start. It does crank the engine though.

Rudy Mueller says:

Well I already connect the 2 yellow, one ground, one red positive, one
black negative, and then I have the pink, brown, blue and grey who I am not
connecting. I will try tomorrow to see if all works, and I really
appreciate your help, thanks, Rudy.

download333 says:

How did you find room to put the alarm in? I have a 300 (which I assume is
similar to the 250) but I couldn’t find any extra space to wedge it into,
and just sticking it to the underside of the tail didn’t seem very secure.
Do you just have to sacrifice the trunk space?

Colin Leung says:

See the video at 4:53. Sorry, I’m too lazy to write it up again.

Colin Leung says:

I don’t know if it is the same. You will have to find a wiring diagram for
your bike and match it with the wiring diagram for the alarm. I never found
out how to use the remote start and I removed the alarm from my bike
because it was draining my battery.

john Kosheluk says:

I do alarms 4 a living if i was u and i had a nice bike like that i would
get all the info i can and soder every wire becous of vib and rattleing u
dont want 2 have a problume when u are riding

Maverick Rushton says:

For the remote start to work, you must have relays. One to start the bike
and the other to keep the battery from draining. Make sure you do lots of
research on your bike’s wiring diagram before installing the remote start
and/or remote disable or else you could fry your ECU. There are tons of
forums out there but none seem to have “fool proof” directions, but with a
little understanding of how relays work, you should be able to get your
remote start to work.

Colin Leung says:

If you skip to 4:53, it has a list of what colors connect to which wire.
The only wires I connected to lights were the YELLOW ones which made the
signals blink.

Colin Leung says:

The system is great aside from it draining my battery when I don’t ride for
a week. My remote start doesn’t work and I can’t get the LED to stop
blinking while riding either. Other than that, it is great to know when my
bike is being tampered with. I bought it on ebay for around $85. There is a
similar unit when you search for “2 Way Motorcycle Alarm Security System w/
Remote Engine Starter LCD Remote Fobs”.

Colin Leung says:

The remote is paired with the brain and can store (I think) up to 4
remotes. You don’t have to worry about another remote unlocking your alarm.
The motorcycle cover will not affect it much unless your cover is made of
lead.

Tresaun Love says:

Highly considering. Couple questions. If you remote start it, and someone
hits the gear, will the bike just shut off?

Cory Svenson says:

put an analog switch on the wire going to the LED problem solved

Rudy Mueller says:

Well its kind of OK, what I don’t understand is that the alarm always arm
after 15 seconds no matter what, and only will be off if I start the
engine. How can I turn alarm on and off and leave this way? thanks, Rudy.

Rudy Mueller says:

What I do with the brown cable? I saw in a video that I will need to
connect to the brake lights is that correct????? Thanks, Rudy.

Rudy Mueller says:

Really appreciated, you really helped me a lot, thanks for all the info,
great chatting with you, really thanks, and keep in touch, Rudy.

Colin Leung says:

sorry, I wanted to make sure it worked before i told you guys what to do.
Most people get stuck on where to place the wires, and not how to
splice/solder or clean up the mess.

Hai Nguyen says:

hey great video, got a question. what did you do with the Pink Brown Blue
Gray n Black wires?

Colin Leung says:

I followed a forum and they said to place it with the PINK one. You can try
connecting it to the brake lights and see what happens.

Rudy Mueller says:

I see, but don’t understand very well, LOL, I will need more then that to
understand, but you are telling me better will just connect the yellow and
the Brown, Pink, Blue, Gray don’t connect, is that right? Thanks again.

PA3555 says:

jose leon says:

i have a suzuki m109r 2007 someone tell me how to intall o conect de the
alarm system is spy

Rudy Mueller says:

Hi there thanks to get back to me so quick, you mean the brown wire can I
connect to the brake lights, and don’t use the gray, pink and blue? Sorry
but I don’t get it you tell me to place the pink one where? Thanks Rudy.

Colin Leung says:

The alarm system is actually re-branded under several names like SPY5000m,
Beret5000m, or any (Brand)5000m. I would say it is not very difficult IF
you know how to read wiring diagrams, remove fairings and splice/solder
wires. T-taps eliminate the use of splicing/soldering but may not hold up
very well in the long run. The pager for me works about 1/8 of a mile. I
doubt it won’t notify you if you are across the city, but it may on top of
a 10 story building or so.

Colin Leung says:

The instruction booklet says to press unlock+lock. Microwave detecting is
ON when “[ ]” icon blinks, and OFF when it stays solid.

Daniel Da says:

i wants to know exactly wher did you connect it the pink, brown and gray
color wires, please helpme

Rudy Mueller says:

Hi there, the shock sensor as minus is not so good and alway to + is the
best? also have a sensor on the remote key one beep to 5 beep, I think one
beep is the best OR????? Thanks, Rudy.

miclo112 says:

It is actually the two way system that drains the battery not the light as
it is constantly sending signals out. A one way system is better for when
you don’t ride much as it conserves battery power.

Colin Leung says:

If you doubt your ability to install the alarm then I would have a
professional do it. You might be able to find alarm install tutorials
online for your specific bike. Read over it, and if you feel like you can
do it, go for it. T-taps are nice because you don’t have to cut anything. I
don’t know too many kawasaki forums specifically for your bike. I google
specific issues I have with my bike and usually end up at ninjette.com, but
I have a 250.

lewmfk k says:

Hi, Can you send me your wiring diagram that you got from other forum? I
will put one on my 09 ZX6R. I just need some guide to start with. Thx

monasty71 says:

All he did was talk& he didn’t install it by the video before/after.

Colin Leung says:

it sounds like the shock sensor is not connected or you need to change the
sensitivity. My alarm would auto arm after a few seconds as well. I
remember leaving the key in the ON position for about 30 seconds and taking
it out and it would remain disarmed. It did not work all the time though.

Colin Leung says:

I’m not sure if the cover will set off the microwave sensor. I have my
sensor disabled since my family and neighbors pass by the front of my house
often. There are 6 sensitivity levels for the tilt shock. I have it set on
the least sensitive so the rain does not set it off. There was a time when
it was raining so hard that the alarm went off. You can also set the alarm
on silent so only the lights will flash, and your remote will sound.

Colin Leung says:

I never got the remote start going. I know for my old car the key needed to
be in the ignition or the car would shut off if they pressed the clutch.
sorry.

Rudy Mueller says:

I don’t understand the alarm goes on automatic and how I do to stay off?
Like if I need to wash my bike I can’t because if I turn off the alarm will
turn on after 20 seconds, how do I do to stay OFF? Thanks, Rudy.

Colin Leung says:

no problem. I hope you get it down. let me know how it goes.

joeyogc says:

hey guys I don’t know if the 250 is wired like my 650r but I got the remote
start to work on mine the bike has a anti hot wire safety device to keep it
from being hot wired if you pm me i will tell you what i did to make it
work and still keep it working properly for safety reasons
