My suburban did the same thing and turn out to be the throttle sensor but
on my 03 it’s comes togather in one pice so I had to buy a new Throttle
body at autozone for 200 bucks and now works like new :)
Hi folks * I have a Chevy Avalanche 2010 LT with 5.3 same problem !
I was using my scanner CAN OBD 11 and I had this error code P2135 .
You can make a reset with my litle scanner and will work again but you have
to fixt TPS trottle as show on you toube and can be replace by GM if still
on recall.

Clean the throttle control sensor and clear the engine code you will be
fine after that

Probally is issue with TPS our Avalanche just did this this weekend also.
There is a recall on TPS Cheverolet will take care of repairs or reimburse
you if vehicle is less than 10 years our 100000 miles.
I have a 2001 Chevy Suburband doing the exact same thing!! But turning it
off will no longer reset it. 12.7.14
My car did the same thing and it turned out to be the transmission fluid.
Either needs more or needs to be changed. But idk about other cars, I drive
a grand prix 05.
Same is happening to me and it is annoying.
but I kinda fix it right away by pulling over and turn the truck off , wait
a few seconds and turn it back on. If the truck accelerate it self turn it
off, and again wait a few seconds (5 or 10) and turn it on, it may still
show the engine icon but it will run just fine and eventually the engine
icon will turn off.
Please if someone knows how to fix this problem for good, please let us
know.

Unplug the gas peddle sensor then the battery .plug the sensor back and
battery and it should fix the problem
I’m having a similar problem with my 07 escalade. Did you figure out the
prob? Did it end up being the tps? Throttle position sensor??

Help me my mom has the engine power reduce light on for the 2005 Chevy
Malibu it does not go at normal speed and sometimes wants to go on its on
Please help me shut her mouth its annoying. Anyone that can solve the
problem I Promise I will send you $200.00 cause you have been a great help

bulletin. I was lost too, until I saw this video. Thanks a million.
Same problem here ! It takes almost 10 minutes to reset the whole system .
Local dealers can’t even figure out and sending me on wild goose chase .
Could be the wiring in the tail lights or the washer fluid canister is
empty. Air pressure may be low in the back tires .
Get the codes with a code checker. Most likely a bad throttle body. My GMC
Sierra with a 5.3 has had 2 bad throttle body’s and had the same symptoms.
Shut off the engine for a few minutes and it will reset.
