Wish I had one of these. Love reliable Hondas.
We have the same inflated prices in texas. It's ridiculous. It is a nice car, trouble is Honda put the cheapest stinkiest carpeting in this car. It reeks of formaldehyde, like no other car I've tested. And Honda doesn't bother to put any noise canceling material anywhere. You can hear every grain of asphalt under those tires.

I am not a big fame of technology. The more stuffs they put in the car the more problem it will get and it will drain your pocket very fast.
The CVT is definitely a no go!!! Don't buy one if you have any kind of automotive pulse. Horrible! Had a Toyota With a CVT absolutely sickening to drive! Scotty driving that Honda reminded me of the noise the engine makes when accelerating. Forget trying to pass someone. And how Scotty can say it's a good car is beyond me. Just because its Japanese. The 2.0 engine is good but the CTV will not last as long as a regular transmission car. Even if it has no defects. Totally unacceptable!!!! You have been warned.
I use CG app to find new cars I am looking for and have saved a lot of money doing that.
AWD is useful for hybrids, it means you have 2 motor-generators instead of one, so you get more power and more regen braking. But I've never needed it for gas cars, it just gives you a false sense of security in bad weather and you end up in the ditch while cautious drivers in their FWD cars pass you by.
I had a Civic with a similar powertrain, I never felt like it was lacking power probably because I just stay at the speed limit. You don’t need much power to actually get around and I never felt like there was a lack of power merging onto a 65 mph highway. It was possible to get 45-50 mpg in those cars. Not sure if the HR-V/ZR-V can also do it.
the new HRV is almost the size of a small SUV now. basically the same width, length, and 2 inches lower than the CX5. totally no-brainer to go with the NA2.5 CX5
I think for a short time the HR-V/ZR-V was a little cheaper list price than a base model Civic. It’s crazy when a Civic STARTS around $25k dollars. I was shocked when I visited a local Honda dealer.
HRV is built on the fit chassis the things are no option garbage that costs ridiculous considering equipment it comes with even on premium trims!.

Scotty- I am thinking of changing my own oil… Is it better to:
Let the oil drain and drip out for 1-2 hours before refilling, OR better to drain for 3-5 minutes and refill the oil, and start motor immediately, to keep everything lubricated??
Had a 2019 HRV. Horrible vehicle. Traded it with less than 15k miles
Seems like it's a car that will last a pretty long time. Not overpowered, might be underpowered but people do fine on a lot less power.
I just bought a used 2020 Lexus NX300 with 30,000km for the same price of 2019 RAV4 Limited with double the mileage. From a Toyota dealer.
Hey Scotty, the previous generation Honda Vezel (HR-V) hybrid got a 7 speed DCT. There are a tonne of them here in Jamaica
I live in the snowbelt in Ontario and we don't need all wheel drive. Just good snow tires.
I test drove a Honda CVT 1.5l Jazz and did not like it, I just paid the extra for the 1.8l automatic civic.
Bottom line CVT is trash.
