dony, i have a briggs 6.0 quantum and it ran like crap when i got it, so i
cleaned the carb and put it back on , and now when i try to start it, the
pull cord rips out of my hand and a puff of smoke comes out the carb.I was
thinking sheered fly wheel key , but it ran before i took the carb
apart.Any ideas ? maybe vapor lock ?
how hard and expensive is it to convert a sears eager 1 to electric start?
What would it cost? Thanks

These are amazing lawn mowers, more options than my car it seems sometimes!
Hondas are great, the only time I ever get them in the shop is for tune ups
or people let them sit and the carb needs to be cleaned

good thing its still good maybe $40.00 for new one
I made sure the blade was tight ,but it does come loose from the hard
kickbacks,but then i tighten the blade and it still kicks back,It didint
kick back untill i cleaned the carb. its werid , also when i spray starting
fluid into the carb or spark plug hole, it will rip the cord out of my
hands.But when their is no fuel in the carb or the spark plug hole, it will
pull just fine on the cord ! but as soon as you ad fuel it kicks back HARD
lawnmower shouldn’t have electricity, exept for spark
I take it that the battery is a rechargeable one so is it a good idea to
remove it and store it indoors during the winter?(the battery not the whole
mower obviously)

Most mowers are one pull starting… Pull it once n if it don’t start tell
your folks it’s broke.
