Good video and good camera angle to show the point of focus… You do
tighten the plugs a little too much for me.. I tighten them with my fingers
as much as possible and then turn them 1/4 of a turn with the wrench..
Remember they will be subjected to intense heat and the metal will expand
under heat.. Too tight and you will have trouble getting them out the next
time.. Thanks again !

Johnny Ventura says:

thanks for the instructional video one question though what spark plugs are
you using and where can i get them…?

Phillip DiFranco says:

Thanks so much this was a big help

Bill W says:

Colton. . On a 4 cylinder it would be 1 per cylinder not 2 : )

43cigary says:

Always nice to see a video where you get to see everything up
close….great video and it’s a great tutorial…hope to see more from you.

lizaandlouise3 says:

I have the same thinking. I always put anti-seize on my plugs as well as a
little dielectric grease into the wires as well. Just the way I was
taught…

Álvaro Luque says:

Thanks mate!

Colton Yordy says:

You are wrong my friend. This bike has 4 spark plugs. It has 2 per cylinder.

LaineYMCVlog says:

Lmao I’m a tool. I thought there was only 2 plugs.. Don’t ask me why.. I’m
in vt125 mode lmao. This video helped a lot thanks mate. Now to order
another 2 lol.

goshell1975 says:

toddmalone1980 says:

Good video on point. Ha ha you said groady. I thought i was the only person
that said it. Maybe its a honda thing.

dks13827 says:

Great and helpful video………… might suggest the anti thread seize
grease for those who are interested in that.

reduvio says:

thank for teh video. didnt know there was a spark plug wrench. I fear I may
have damaged some threads.

smobstar says:

what type of wires r u using?

Andrey N says:

do not forget a spark plug gap between the contacts! it should be of 0.80
and 0.90 mm (0,031-0.035 in). Useful video.

ammartm1 says:

Wow that was EeeZee and fast compare to sport bike 🙂

goodlucklv says:

thanks a lot, helped me change my plugs

Jay Humphrey says:

Good video and very informative to novice mechanics like myself, but at the
same time you don’t insult experienced ones.

trimpe04 says:

Ya to bad my front left plug decided to cross thread and gum the treads.
Now I have to pull the head a re do the threads

kathakali says:

this is a real risk if you are not careful. thanks for sharing this.. how
much did it cost to do this ??

TIGRE chostomo says:

thanks for the video bro!!!!

Bill W says:

Should have shown how u took the plugs out behind the chrome piece under
the tank. .

local378 says:

Thanks perfect

amyray2 says:

Shouldn’t you use anti-seize on those plug threads?

trimpe04 says:

It totaled $230 for the shop to place a Helicoil insert in the port and for
the new gasket for the head plus labor. I would deff recommend using the
factory tool kit to replace the plugs in the future or just allow the shop
to do it. I am able to work on my bike no problem but it was a pain to have
something so easy turn into such a mess.

madeinCanada72 says:

I like your vids, they save me a bunch of cash, thanx bro…keep ride’n.

kathakali says:

good video.. i would recommend dabbing the new spark plug (around the part
where it sits) with little bit of engine oil before popping it in.

718heavyduty says:

Thank You very much! I need to change my plugs because my bike has been in
the garage for 6 years. I was only going to buy 2 plugs, but after this I
now see there are 2 more hiding! Thanx Much!

Ed Kulp says:

Could not fit my deep well socket in and thaught I was going to need a
special socket. Didn’t even think to look in the tool pouch. Very helpful
thanks

kingbiscuit1968 says:

I appreciate this video. I had NO idea where the other 2 plugs were. Gonna
change mine tomorrow

Howev1 says:

Thanks for using a tripod and good light!

Wendy Daley says:

OMG this is FANTASTIC..I have the exact same bike (year and color!) and
thought I was going to have to take a lot more panels off… I did buy
four; the only way I knew there were four plugs is b/c the parts guy knew.
Like the person below, it’s been six years since I rode it. So this video
has saved me lots of time and money (labor costs!) THANK YOU.

MrSooner405 says:

Great vid…… safe ride

Nate Fuller says:

too much slack in your chain. unless you plan on havin a 400lb chick on the
back. id go for a half inch

zaraa03 says:

I’m not using any wires.. just the boots and connectors that are already
part of the bike.

TheMakarov9 says:

Good video, thanks. I’m thinking about trading for a 2005 Shadow Spirit 750
and your video enlightened me on the fact that this bike has 3 spark plugs,
I never would have guessed that.

Douglas Glassdoug says:

It has four…

dkwalsh says:

Thanks-nicely made video helped me a ton!!!

jeff novak says:

I thought I had to take my tank off to change those other 2 plugs, thanks
for the info!!! Good video!!!

Douglas Glassdoug says:

Great video! I’ve never changed spark plugs before, you made it very
straightforward and now my girlfriend thinks I’m a badass because I did it
in front of her in a wifebeater while drinking beer. ‘MURICA
