What a terrible design. Just to replace the splash guard, need to go through this convoluted nonsense and totally unnecessarily replace the bearing and hub. Thanks, Honda!

ProPalletCreations says:

If I get a hub assembly do I not need the press?

Jim Trainor says:

Depending on the vehicle age and road condition: i) the abs sensor may be stuck and have to be snapped off and drilled out! ii) The snap ring could be a chore if it is rusted in there badly, plan for time waiting for penetrating oil to soak in! iii) The splash guards may be too far gone and need replacing and you may have trouble with the screws that hold the original splash guard in place!

Cj Wachter says:

Can I go to the junk yard, pull a spindle and  hub  with bearing right in it and swap them out with the one that has the bad bearing in it? – if I wanted to save some time and money?

DeMarco Brooks says:

What's good, guys? I have a new set of wheel hubs and their bearings and I want to know which side of the bearing should face the ABS sensor although BOTH sides are identical and I used a paper clip and a stapler to detect the magnetism but I get nothing. Of course, I don't want to put it in the wrong way on my 1999 Honda Accord EX. The only inscriptions I find on the bearing is on one side and are 16180ML. On top of that I googled the serial number which is 1ASHF00107 and you guys popped up. The product was purchased from eBay from a seller named am-autoparts. Any ideas? Thanks.

kidehilario says:

is there instances that wheel hub gets deformed? mine i think is wobbling a bit even though the bearing is all new… so as it wobbles the rotor disk wobbles thus making the caliper go move from side to side as i bites the rotor disk,,, it makes some screeching sound as i tap the brake gently.. very irritating

chrisonfire420 says:

Isnt the tie rod on the spindle too?

Sir Sweetness says:

Does this Civic require that you press the bearing in with the magnetic side toward the transmission?

j charles says:
