Thanks again 1A Auto parts! you guys saving me a ton from the Honda dealership. Plus, it help me get my car smogged regulated in CA. Btw, how many thousands of miles do you guys recommend changing both the down and upstream 02 Sensors?

I can't even believe this channel, saved my life. xD I had to replace my whole suspension on my 2002 Honda Civic Ex after a bad accident. I wouldn't have known how to do it if it wasn't for these videos. So in return for all the information, in a quick, detailed manner, I did get all my parts through them. Same price as eBay, but they won't let you buy things that don't fit in your car and make sure you are getting the right things. I almost got the wrong bolt pattern for my rim, almost got 4×125 instead of 4×100, but they emailed me to make sure before sending and knew the stock bolt pattern and asked if I had an aftermarket Knuckle to make sure. I said no and they sent the 4×100 so it would fit. 😀 Thanks guys! I am getting a new cat next month because I have the P-0420 code. I tried switching both O2 censors and still passed smog somehow, but going uphill, she slows down.

Arthur Maclang says:

Seems like something I could do myself but when I took my Civic to my local auto shops they made it sound a little more complicated than it is. They told me they have to know the engine family number. After watching this video looks as if I can just order the part from you guys and make a switch. One shop even quoted me as high as $1500. As much as possible I don’t want to do it myself because I don’t want to get under my car on my back. But, with the price so high I may have to get on my back and just get dirty.

Curtis Kuhlman says:

will this part fit the EX model?

Emad Drastic Measures Saad says:

not true the hx has both cats

Michu Pichu says:

you forgot to put anti sieze on the threads of the O2 sensor Dude. Sure gonna be a bitch getting those things off next time

John Henley says:

Are there torque specifications when tighten the "spring bolts" to the exhaust manifold (8:46)?

Welshy says:

What size are the bolts that join the cat and midpipe?

Wyatt King says:

Mine may be going bad on an 05 Civic and the price to do this is ridiculously expensive. So happy you showed me this. Not nearly worth the labor cost. Thank you for saving me hundreds.

jeremiah bowman says:

Are you able to connect to back off the Catilatic converter before you bolt up the front part, and does the car have to be jack up on all four wheels.

Chavez I says:

Lunsford Williams says:

glenn curley says:

Since new, I have a 2005 Civic SI with low mileage and was just informed that I need a catalytic converter.
The check engine light has been on for 7 years, I paid the dealership to to do something, the first time I noticed it
and replaced the gas cap. They informed me it may come back on and it did in about 3 days.
For the last 4 years it never passes our E-test. Thanks for sharing, now I know what a catalytic converter is.

jen d says:

I think my cat is.going

Dufreenie Weenie says:

So for an LX it would be the same as the earlier models?

DaveWave says:

Will the new catalytic converter make the car sound better?

Evan Strater says:
