Awesome video dude. Saved me a TON of money. Thanks.

Gray Leapord says:

Do you have any videos on drum to disc conversions? I have seen your vids
and seen you work on an older 90’s Honda Accord (cb7). That’s the car I
want to do the conversion on. Thanks.

Daniel Hernandez says:

me parece que explica muy detalladamente como reparar los autos me han
servido mucho sus videos gracias.

ROB NAVAEI says:

Thank you, nice video. But don’t you hate these drum brakes. Disks are so
much easier to work on. Why do they make these heavy old techno. stuff.

Ikki Phoenix says:

only one word….CUTTERS….?? Why?

Olivier Labonville says:

at 11:30 “If it doesnt work on one side, try the other side” :P

William Todd says:

I’ve done brake shoes in the past several times, never had a problem. Well
until now. My 1984 Ford Bronco 2, received new brake shoes, new drums, new
hardware about 3 months ago. Since doing the replacement, the spring and
the adjuster lever will randomly just fall off. These are all new pieces,
so why the hell do they keep falling off. This only happens on the
passenger side.

Salim Amrani says:

whats the name of the electric tool you use to unlock remove the tire ? I
tried manually but I can’t

Adam Neale says:

and step 54 put the tire back on. My gosh I am always going to get a car
with 4 wheel disc brakes. LOL

Richard Wallinger says:

just replaced the rear shoes, cylinders and one brake cable .on my Peugeot
205 1.7L diesel saloon car.I use the anti seize everywhere the shoes
contact metal .I take your point on the brake dust mixing with the anti
seize grease.Great video congratulations on your presentation . 70 year
old ex Donnington Park GT champion race car driver. My 65 year old wife Jane
still remembers how to help bleed brakes.

Adam Neale says:

I am still trying to figure why they even use drum brakes anymore, they do
not provide near the stopping power of disc brakes, they are harder to
change, and there is more parts to them, I do not get it.

TheRealHughJeffner says:

I recommend some locking long nose pliers for those springs, makes it a bit
easier.

trippplefive says:

so is there still are slight bit of resistance when the brakes are properly
set?

paws057 says:

Now show us what happens when you compromise your brake cylinder as I did
when taking the shoes off. Damn piston came right out with the shoe and yes
there was some swearing shortly after! Great videos though and appreciate
the advice!:)

pasckymix says:

Can anyone help please. Every time I remove the drum it would pull the
brake shoes with it, and sometimes it would break the nail that is holding
the flyers. I just want to know what am I doing wrong. thanks in advance
and sorry for my grammar.

Robert Thorpe says:

Lol. Change of strategy is always good.

Won Toots says:

this video should read how to do this job the hardest way ever LOL & I
would never put cutters on a spring now you dented & weaken the spring
.Also if you did want to remove a spring in this way back the adjuster off
that will take lot of the tension off the spring.

Hubert Kubo says:

Your videos are fantastic it gives me more confidence because I am motor
mechanic , driver and driver trainer, these will help me to train drivers
the way to know and understand their vehicles deeply.

nova SuperPro says:

Great. Nice to hear a verbal person, not grunting. Good lighting and good
sequence to follow. I could have done better… Thanks

blorph1 says:

Just gotta say it again:this is a wonderful, entertaining video. You have a
very pleasant teaching demeanor. Thank you very much for taking the time to
make this video for all of us.

marco Polo says:

the main reason for a stuck bolt is corrosion and so hitting it with a
hammer really works well to bust the grip of the rust. But if that doesn’t
work,, then try some heat,, the difference in metal expansion can help
break the grip of the corrosion. Also, don’t forget penetrating oil. It
took me 9 months of soaking but I freed up a slide on a old carb worth $500
to replace.

R Anderson says:

Thanks Eric. Your videos are great. Please keep up the great work.

Hugh The Master Of Technology says:

I have a old car it’s been sitting for about 5 year and when we went to
push it out of my shed the brakes are locked on I am not sure how to fix it
