The link to the part on the description says it doesn’t fit a 2010 Honda Civic

Trav says:

WARNING. if you don’t use a PH3 Phillips for those lock actuator screws, you will strip them.

Today I actually had to use a ball peen hammer (round head against the screw heads) spring-loaded impact screwdriver AND a torch to get the last actuator screw out on a 2009 CRV . I tried a PH3 bit on an impact driver gun and they still wouldn’t budge.

Angela Butters says:

thank you for this! it took me 10 mins after watching your video to realize why my door wasnt locking properly and i was able to fix it by myself in about 15 mins!

G GG says:

My door lock and the actuator are completely separate. There is no way to connect them. It seems like my actuator is different and it is not compatible with the door lock.. any suggestions?? New actuator?

Mary Goldkamp says:

Totally lost faith when he said "use a decent size screw driver". Seriously? Its a #3.

T T says:

OK. At least this video convinced me that this is way too involved for the average person to do (unlike the battery, air filter, or changing a bumper cover).

Isael Mercado says:

Great video . Thanks a lot

Master Lo says:

That's an awesome video! Very detailed and easy to follow instructions. Do you also have a video on how to replace the rear actuators?

Dustin Rust says:

So I have a 2007 civic ex sedan. The fob only unlocks the drivers side which is ok. But the lock/unlock button on the driver side only works for the driver side and not the other 3 doors. The passenger side doesnt doesnt lock or unlock any door. Would I need door lock actuators to fix this for the other doors? I will say when i mess with the fuse sometimes the drivers side lock and unlock button will work for the driver rear door and then it stops. So what would be the issue? Maybe a wire? Or door lock actuators?

Sharon Morales says:

My driver door don’t open AAA PUT THAT slim Jim in the window and now my door won’t open will this process help?

Young Scott says:

I think I am better off buying another door from junkyard.

Sébastien Léveillé says:

Thank you! Got the job done because of the video helped me.

herrbrahms says:

14:20 Using a little bit of the butyl sealant to hold the bolt inside the socket is one of those great pro tips to avoid frustration. If you don't do it, you're going to end up fishing that stupid little bolt out of god knows where with a telescoping magnet — several times.

Khoa Hobui says:

My child lock is broken, will changing out the actuator fix the problem?
