In this video, I will show you How to Replace the Battery in your Honda Keyless Remote. Many of the new Honda vehicles now come equipped with a keyless remote and keyless start technology. The Keyless Remote works on a battery and depending on usage, you will need to replace the battery.
My Honda keyless remote came equipped with a CR2032 coin battery. This battery can be purchased at retail stores like Walmart as well as online from Amazon. Check the link below to buy it online from Amazon.
To replace the battery from the Keyless Remote, you will need to first: (1) slide the spring lock at the back of the remote; (2) next, you will have to slide out the manual key; then insert the manual key into the groove (of the remote) and twist it to snap it open; (3) once you split open the Keyless Remote, you can remove the old battery by pressing the front spring holder; (4) and then insert the new battery (Positive facing up); (5) and then put the remote back together by snapping the two pieces in place; (6) finally, insert the manual key into the remote.

Very helpful. I’ve just replaced the battery in my Honda FK8 fob by following this video.
What is step 2? I don’t follow
Nice video and should have worked well. Unfortunately, I was too vigorous in removing the battery and the whole bottom section popped up out of the holder and the buttons moved. Since then, I can't get the buttons to line up and work, thought I can close the cover again. Any hints to line up the buttons again?
Thank you very much!
Great tutorial thank you
All buttons fell out. Guess I pulled battery to hard
