I hav 2002 EX 1.7L honda civic & I have p0133 trouble code. Is this same?
On tight budget & I ve had car since 2007/5 & all brakes & shocks/strutts
need replaced FIRST -LOL. I guess when it Rains-it POURS sometimes. I think
I can do this sensor myself-if I take car to Auto Zone’s parking lot or
O’Reilly’s auto part by my house & rent the tool. Will attempt to do myself

this because there was no way to reach it with hands – lik video. They had
to put car up high and take it off- The actual sensor. $55 for labor &
Bosch part was $45 – it was totally broke/ not working! Put new KN air
filter and changed cabin filters too. 189,000 miles on car- Texas // thank

Has anyone tried a cheap O2 sensor from ebay?
I want to change my O2 sensor on my 2003 civic cuz my check engine light
came on recently but do I have to change both sensor? Or can I get away
with just changing the primary sensor only? And if I should change both,
can you post a vid on how to access the secondary sensor? Thx

It all depends how comfortable u feel in doing it yourself..i would first
locate to see where the o2 sensor is locatedin your particular car.see if
it is in a real tight spot or not..if you can easily get to it, then it
might be worth a shot..good luck
Thank you for your video. I have a honda civic ’06 and have around 169k
miles on it. Should I change it? The primary o2 sensor has a plate/ dish
hooked up along with it. Is this part of the sensor? Will this come off in
one piece when I remove the sensor?

Replace air filter (both), o2 sensors (both), clean fuel injectors, reset
ecu and see what happens.
If its a missfire then it might not be the o2 sensor..go to autozone and
check to see what engine codes you have first..they can check for free..if
the car doesnt start..it could be another sensor so disconnecting one by
one could lead u to it..it can also be loss of compression due to skipped
timing belt..or ignition issue or fuel issue..

To add to this miss question..if its not spark or fuep it can also be
somethijg mechanical..loss of compression in one cylinder..and last but not
least..could have an electrical problem..like an injector not getting
pulsed

thnks for the video. what are the chances of breaking the base of the old
sensor when installing it? i have no experience of car repair and trying to
save money (over 150% actually). would it be a good idea to buy o2 sensor
wrench and try it or take the car to the repair shop (already have the new
sensor) thanks

Its an oxygen sensor socket..and you would need a half inch ratchet to hook
up to it..oxygen sensors should be changed around 60-70k miles..and make
sure u get an oxygen sensor that has the harness clip in it..just like my
video..and the end of the clip also clips onto the metal tab i showed
Check engine light came on..at ur mileage i would change it
go to parts geek.com sel these sesors for 30 bucks advance and autozone
want 220 bucks
All of the honda civic’s that are 05 and newer use a wide band air/fuel
ratio sensor, not two oxygen sensors as the older civics. These are much
less likely to go bad however they are also much more expensive to replace
when they do. If I were you, unless you are getting an oxygen sensor code
do not replace.
I’m thinking of doing this cause I’m getting terrible gas mileage. I too
have a 2004 honda civic and it runs fine, performs fine, no check engine
light but TERRIBLE gas mileage. 95% of driving is in the city so yes that’s
a big factor, but I’m getting about 14.1 mpg in Karachi, Pakistan! Fuel
quality is bad too but that’s just too huge a blow.

keep telling me that it could be the O2 sensors.
