for posting this!

yewtewber says:

Thanks, Eric! Just replaced the starter on my 2006 Odyssey today. Your
video was a lifesaver. I agree with another comment… showing the removal
of all the fasteners was critical for my success. Had to go buy a breaker
bar for those 17mm bolts, but other than that, it went pretty well, all
considered!

Abdulhamid Al ansary says:

Thanks Eric Well done Next time am gonna replace my stater by my self

Fish Jesus says:

D: id check to make sure it works before putting all of that back together

Jaime Denizard says:

Where did you get those sweet cleaning tools for the battery terminals? I
would love some of that!

Edgardo Amado says:

Erick how about on a k series motor? Lets say a 3rd gen cr-v… Can u get
it from the bottom?

Michael Shin says:

Really like that you don’t skip removing fasteners, often the hardest part
for me. Thank you.

Jonathan Thompson says:

Please please please!

Jonathan Thompson says:

Stay dirty! 30 minutes and I am ready to go! Attacking the starter on my
Acura CL. I love how you explain the tools and why you use them. I am
slowly building my tool collection with each video!

Etern1ty2k says:

Yes, although the difficulty reaching it depends from car to car. I
replaced a starter once on a peugot 307sw, the starter was located
underneath the intake right up to the firewall, took a few hrs…

TeroKark says:

It’s middle of midsummer festival in Finland but I’m still watching this..
drunk of course, But Eric could you give us a video about how you keep
those bolts/nuts/parts in order after you get them out of the car?

redneck6979 says:

Not all vehicles require the use of shims or spacers. You will know if you
need them if the old part you take off has them, the new part may or may
not come with new ones but the parts store should know when you buy the
part if you need them or not.

OwnageEP says:

You can purchase it literally just about anywhere. Any Automotive shop or
big box store will have it (even Walmart) I recommend the spray though, the
paste just gets everywhere.

tribulation138 says:

why are you starting shit… ? wasnt even directed towards you. and it was
honest reply i made. asshole

Daz SENNA says:

pantallica .in chains says:

do research you dumbass, you know the internet is not just for porn……

Sonny Ferguson says:

They’re linked to the VIN on the car. Having one and not the other another
can cause issues if the vehicle was reported stolen.

naterade21 says:

I once replaced a starter in an 01 caravan it was a pain

kr hk says:

i don’t know much about cars, but that seems a bit low. my Honda Concerto
was made in 1991 and has about 118000 miles on it and it still starts
perfectly fine

Brandon P says:

everything alright with ur eye Eric? it doesnt look right (get it? cause
its your right eye.. i shouldnt joke about this, sorry)

pantallica .in chains says:

he obviously has a lazy eye, trying to counter act it slightly closing his
eyelid.

James Erikson says:

They luckily have an online code retrieval for Honda’s. Only problem is,
they ask alot of questions about the owner haha.

Darren Sizemore says:

Are most vehicles this straight forward with starter replacement? If so
that seems pretty simple. Just wondering in case I ever run into this
problem. Nice Video!

Luis Galeno says:

Thank you Eric for all of your videos i learn a lot.

videomotion8 says:

left

Skandalos says:

farerse says:

Nice upload as usual, I don’t have this vehicle but it’s interesting
anyways. I did wish for a quick insight in how the starter works though.. 🙂

solesearched says:

song in these… Another Honda…SMH… Jap Crap

ihatestupidaccounts says:

Why do you ALWAYS look so tired in all of your videos! I feel guilty
watching them. get some sleep!

John Kaplanian says:

Dear Erik, a good alternative than grease on terminals is to coat it from
outside (after tightening) with Vaseline Petroleum Jelly. Please rebuild
the old starter as all it needs is only cleaning or replacing a copper
piece in the solenoid only + cleaning the armature contact grooves +
re-greasing the motor bearings and solenoid arm and it became as new.
Thanks you Erik for such an informative video as always.
