i have a honda hrx and it will only start when i take the air filter
off,any ideas what the problem might be,the lawnmorer is about 4 years old
and the filter has never been changed.

We just used standard 10W30 motor oil. It just lubricates the spark plug
enough to make it easier to put back in the engine and to take back out the
next time you remove it. These Honda mowers do not have an oil filter, so
you won’t need to worry about that!
