Thank you for stopping by to watch our Honda Civic exterior mirror replacement. We love working on Honda, especially this Civic. This was one of the easiest mirror replacements we had to do in a while. The interior door panel was a breeze to remove. Driving without a car mirror can be a huge pain in the neck, literally. It is also illegal to be driving without a car mirror in a lot of states. Do your best without one but don’t wait too long to replace it.

COMPATIBLE YEARS:
2021 HONDA CIVIC (SEDAN)
2020 HONDA CIVIC (SEDAN and COUPE)
2019 HONDA CIVIC (SEDAN and COUPE)
2018 HONDA CIVIC (SEDAN and COUPE)
2017 HONDA CIVIC (SEDAN and COUPE)
2016 HONDA CIVIC (SEDAN and COUPE)

TOOLS NEEDED:
You will need a 10mm wrench, preferably a socket wrench. You will also need a panel clip removal tool, but you can use a flat-head screwdriver as well. If you use the flat-head screwdriver, be careful not to scuff the plastic door panel. You will also need a Philp’s screwdriver for one little screw.

PROCESS:
This is a very easy replacement for any mechanic or gearhead. You will have to remove your door panel to access the wire harness for the exterior mirror. Most interior door panels have more than one screw securing them to the door frame. We’re pretty lucky with this Civic because there is only one behind the window control module. Pop that module off with your panel clip removal tool or your flat-head screwdriver. Once you have the interior panel off, it’s now time to take the mirror off. Release the three nuts securing the mirror. Then carefully unplug the wire harness to the mirror. You will have to pop one plastic clip that holds the wire to the door. Remove your mirror and replace it with your newly painted ReveMoto mirror! Or, whatever mirror you may have. Make sure that your mirror has a rubber or foam grommet on the bottom. This will stop water and road noise from polluting your vehicle. Secure the mirror onto the door by working backward. Be sure to check the mirror’s functionality before completely installing it. There is nothing worse than finishing the job only to see that the mirror’s electric functions don’t work. Make sure you snap on the interior mirror cover before you install the door panel. When you attach the door panel, be sure the green clips snap into place. Re-install the window module and you are completely done!
