Do you know if all 92-96 auto transmissions are interchangeable? I need to
buy a new one

amansaysmtf says:

thanks for the reply mate, do you think it can be fixed and I won’t have to
replace the transmission right cause thats bloody expensive?

israel antonio says:

where is the part 2 of the video? This vido was great man

jhnwrx says:

Great video thanks for your help.

92bluepreludeSi says:

Good video about to do this to change my rear seal. But please invest in a
cordless impact

Fixbook says:

@fausto2208 yeah no problem, its a bit easier on a civic. Good luck.

Anthony Greco says:

Why did u take the bolt off for the clutch? Now you have to bleed it. And
the reverse switch just unplugs

German Esparza says:

Hey guys would this process apply to an automatic transmission swap? please
reply…thanks 😀

Fixbook says:

Oh and I think the air compressor is 4hp, and 10 or 15 gallons with a max
of like 115 psi or something like that.

Nus Dogg says:

Just make sure to get couple buddies with you when you’re about to get the
trans back in. It’ll make things go alot easier.

dcarspeed says:

Can you do more videos on the 4th gen ludes?

adam Tubiera says:

hey man i used your video to remove my trans in my 1999 prelude (h22 auto)
and my trans is being rebuild and will be done soon so how to i put it back
in do i just watch the videos from the last to the first???

amansaysmtf says:

Hi, I have a problem with my 06 Civic, The auto transmission when shifting
constantly jerks a bit and the revs are let loose until the next gear kicks
in which happens without any abnormal delays. I have checked the trans oil
level and condition and its good. Do you think I need to get the solenoid
replaced, can I still save my transmission? I am confused and different
mechanics here tell me a diff story and the dealership repair is uber
expensive. Please help.

crash134092 says:

btw, always remove the negative (-, black) first. if not, you had better
make sure that wrench doesnt touch anything metal while removing the
positive terminal.

amansaysmtf says:

Thanks for the advice buddy, I will prob try get it repaird; but as you
said will weigh in both options. Cheers buddy!

Tyler Rasmussen says:

Thanks boss I saw that right after I posted… Prolly shoulda just deleted
the comment. Haha This really helped!! Now I just need to put the new one
in… Should be a lot easier than pulling the old one.

Michael Sims says:

i have a question i have a 93 prelude si h23 engine and the transmission is
fuked is there other transmission i can swap in? or is it better to get the
transmission repaired?

Fixbook says:

@gooner305 Sorry i’m working on it but it’ll be on here soon. Once it
starts to upload it takes about 15 hours to upload haha so it wont be up
for at least another day or so

Fixbook says:

The link for the second part is in the video description.

Enrique Bust says:

how long did all this take u

zakyak14 says:

please upload the part 2 for this haha. I gotta install a clutch on this
same car and i have no clue how, your next video is gonna help out a lot.

Kla MCClain says:

Well hello gorgeous

Fixbook says:

I got my air compressor at harbor freight, and I use a Craftsman
Professional 1/2 air gun, and a matco 3/8 air ratchet. The other air tools
I use are harbor freight mediocre stuff.

eishiba10 says:

haha the first 5 minutes is how to take off the easy stuff. i know how to
take a transmssion off an engine, but I wanted to see how one does it with
the engine still in the car.

Fixbook says:

I’ve been thinking about that. They have a corded one for $60 at Harbor
Frieght right now, at least I wouldn’t have to tote around the compressor.

Fixbook says:

@MiK3sk8r007 yes, there are other transmissions you can swap in. the best
would be an h22 transmission, but any h-series or f-series will work as
long as it is hydraulic like yours. F-series transmissions will have lower
gear ratios though which is probably something you don’t want.

MrRuster92 says:

I need to watch second part can send 2 part please

Fixbook says:

@zakyak14 Yeah sorry about that, it just uploaded today. I had to upload it
3 times before it would work and each upload took 18+ hours, so that’s why
it took so long haha. And I couldn’t fit it all into the last video so
there will be one more video to go up. And I’m not sure how long it will
take to upload the last one. It will just depend on how many times I have
to upload before it sticks.

euonymus1980 says:

nice video! sounds like you have a craftsman air compressor…….really
loun just like mine!

rustysandwich says:

What happened at 5:07 ? Something flew out and smoke? or was that dust?

GabeTheMr says:

I wish I had compressed tools wuld have made my day today so much easier.
Im removing my transmission from my cb7 swapping it from my old one has a
bad torqe converter .

Fixbook says:

nice catch. Idk. My guess would be the air from the ratchet blew debris.

Josh Quintanilla says:

Hell yeah
