hey jordan, I love your videos! You’ve been a great help to my civic
problems. I have slowly been working on fixing my civic back together after
an accident I was in.
In regard to the accident, my airbags were deployed. I have a quick
question in regard to specs. I was told by different sources that 1) i need
to order or new clock spring; and 2) that I actually do not need a clock
spring.
Do you have any insight on how to approach this clock spring thing after an
airbag has been deployed?
Thanks!
i really need to know how to take out the right hand side airbag!
Would this same method apply to the 2008 Honda FIT ? Could you make a
videon on how to remove a honda Fit airbag?
Did you check the under dash, and under hood fuse/relay boxes?
Hi man. Do you by any chance have a video that shows how to disconnect the
horn fuses from the steering wheel? If I’m not mistaken the dark wires on
each side of the airbag in this video were for the horn? Thanks!
No I don’t, but I’ll note it, and make one someday soon hopefully. Thanks
can you do a how to remove wing on a ek hatch? or something like Diy ek9
taillights Thx 🙂
I’m not sure, you can only try it.
No problem.
Thanx bro!
Thanks very helpful
Best thing that’s happened to me this month was watching this video! My
boyfriend and I removed the driver’s airbag per your instructions just to
check for any obvious broken wires, etc. and when we put it back on the SRS
code cleared! Apparently the wiring harness had just loosened up over the
years. FREE is the price I like to pay! I would have been too scared to try
it if not for you showing how easy it was.
Thanks so much for this man! Bought my 99 civic ex with the SRS light on.
Pulled the code and it indicated 1-1 Open in Driver’s Airbag Inflator. I
was dreading getting REAMED by the stealership b/c the SRS is no joke! The
official Honda manual troubleshoots it down to a need to replace the
Driver’s airbag so I’m off to order my airbag and the tool to take those
torx bolts off if my bf doesn’t already have it. Doesn’t look too bad.
can you do a removing passenger airbag for same model year civic
It would be worth the effort. Unnecessary warning lights get to me. I could
probably just ground myself before touching it, just like with a computer
motherboard.
can someone help me how to find the horn relay?
if the airbag is out you cannot turn the srs light off, at least not
easily.
how much would a local shop pay for an undeployed airbag from a 2008 Honda
Fit ?
Do you have a video on removal of the air bag module?
heyy can you do a diy on changing your headunit/cd player
No problem.
great video, much help
How bout a vid for the passenger side airbag
I think it would be similar, go ahead and give it a try, and if you feel
your getting out of your comfort zone, then put it back together.
No problem, thanks for your comment.
thanks
Could you possibly show us how to remove the srs light if we choose to
leave the airbag out? Or for that matter install an after market steering
wheel? 🙂
I’m glad I could give you guys the extra confidence to take on this job. I
appreciate your comments, it’s comments like yours that encourage me to
keep on keeping on with this channel.
Hey dude does this method work for a 1992 Honda Prelude Si?
hey do you have a video on how could I replace the airbag cover on a honda
civic 2009?
Jordan’s helper: That sounds good, I will pass it along. Thanks for
commenting.
Thanks, this helped a lot!
Jordan’s helper: I’m not sure, but possibly a junk yard.
Thanks for your comment.
hey whats u my friend a just want to ask you where I can get a new
replacement for a Honda civic 2006 ex
You’d just have to take out the bulb. You’d open up the cluster and find
the bulb and just remove it or disable it. Some cluster’s are static
sensitive, but if you have this model civic I don’t think it is, but if the
cluster is messed up after you remove it, and put it back in, then you’ll
know why. Static sensitive parts require a wrist band to ground yourself,
so when you touch the piece you don’t deliver static electricity to the
piece.
