To take the cover off take the two bolts thay hold ur seat to the floor. U
should have two small holes on the cover the screw into to.alternate
screwing and it will pop rt off.
The rear brakes normally wear less than the fronts but normally should be
checked whenever you do the fronts.
Is this the same setup for a 2006 Honda Civic Lx 1.8 liter ?

There’s two holes on the drum where you can put a couple bolts and slowly
turn them in, it will push the drum off the mount. They should be 13mm I
believe.
thank you
Make sure your parking brake isn’t engaged, also there is 2 holes on the
brake drums where you can screw 2 bolts in there to back off the drums.
As long as you do not remove the wheel cylinder or any of the brake lines,
you will not have to bleed the system.
It may have a similar setup.
Very good job thank you.
do i need to bleed my brakes?
i bought, my brake shoes, two jack stands, spring remover tool, BUT, i cant
get the brake drum (cover) to come off!!!…i greased it,i beat i with a
hammer, try to pry it open with a flat head screwdriver and maybe pumped on
the brakes to see it that does anything but nothing, I GIVE UP!
If there a hole in the backing plate, use the adjusting tool and back off
on the shoes. The should enable you to get the drums off. Hope this helps
you out.
looks easier then it looks.. just did it and yeah it was hell for me.. disc
brakes rules and so much easier
Hi, The drum brake on in use when in parking, so does it need to be
replaced as frequently as the front ? Thanks
