Do you got the same tutorial video but for a 4 cylinder 95 accord ?

Blogdub says:

Hi Mike, can you do one on 98-202 Accord V6? Thanks!

harj59 says:

Awesome and thanks. Can you tell me how to figure out if it is battery or
the alternator to be replaced?

Poony McCoy says:

Thanks for your help the other day. I had a shop replace my alternator a
few days ago, but my cousin and I replaced my alternator 4 years ago
because of your videos. They are quite informative. I just didn’t have time
this time around to replace the alternator myself. I was wondering how I
could replace my power steering belt on my 96 Honda accord V6? I was trying
to locate the tension release.

jon con says:

Your video was great. I’m a bit of a knucklehead but can do unbolt/bolt-on
stuff. Video made this dreaded chore very simple, thanks!

1A Auto Parts says:

@harj59 If you can get your car started and the battery indicator light
stays on or your gauge shows no or low volts (below 10) then it is your
alternator. If you can’t get your car started even with a jump then it is
your battery. Also, before you go replacing stuff check the connections at
the battery, take them apart, clean with a wire brush and reconnect.
Corroded battery connections can cause problems.

Im currently trying to remove the alternator on my 97 Honda Accord and I
have the flexible joint, but it still wont graqp the bolt to loose the
engine pully bracket like it should. Do i need to take anything else off
cause Im doing everything you say to on your video but its still to cramped
to get ashold of the back bracket bol. Any suggestions? Could it be a 11 mm
bolt instead of a 12???

1A Auto Parts says:

@sammyd976 Yeah it took me a few takes to film it like a did as well. Kind
of one of those, “it’s easy on the 3rd try” things. Glad to Help!

1A Auto Parts says:

@sammyd976 30 minutes.

Poony McCoy says:

thanks, you just saved me some money

Hal Berry says:

You guys should do a video on how to replace the power steering pump.

Sam Davis says:

just wondering what the total of time of this job was. I am fairly
mechanical, aka I can take a motor apart and put it back together and put
it back in the car and it will still run. I have never done just an
alternator though so I am curious. My wifes 1997 Accord V6s alternator just
went out.

Sam Davis says:

great video guys!! had the alternator out in 10 minutes then spent the next
30 trying to get that dang tensioner bolt thing back in!! That one drove me
nuts, I am a pretty big guy and have pretty big hands so that was a heck of
time getting that one back in!! But besides that it was a breeze!! Thanks
for the help guys!

Will Wong says:

Thanks for an excellent video. Well done and hope my ’97 CR-V’s alternator
replacement is similar to this 95-97 Accord’s.

Rich Puhl says:

This is the second video of yours that saved me hundreds of dollars by
doing the install myself! Just finished installing the alternator on my 97
honda accord lx v6. Just as you described!. Thanks!

Mike you are awesome. I was stuck on putting the alternator back but after
watching your video I completed the job just fine. You are great thanks man

kmali1 says:

How thanks these very detail videos. This is first time I was used for on
replacing windshield wiper on 96 Maxima. When can I tell my alternator and
belt need to be replaced? Recently my engine started wining noise and many
mechanic said its time to change the alternator. Thanks

Duke Vanguard says:

Why Thank you.

1A Auto Parts says:

You would need a set of wrenches and possibly a socket or two.

1A Auto Parts says:

@achristgau As of right now, our Accord videos were done on this V6.

kevin lloyd says:

Sam Davis says:

@1aauto Awesome thanks!

achristgau says:

Nice idea! Do u have any videos for a 97 accord non V6. Mine is a
2.2engine. The Alternator is on the other side as well as the battery.
Thanks!

1A Auto Parts says:

@Wickedthtz Thanks for spreading the word. We’re glad we could help you
out. We offer a great amount of repair parts on our website 1aauto.com

1A Auto Parts says:

the tensioner on the accord is a manual one. There is a bolt attached to
the tensioner pulley that applies the tension to the belt.

1A Auto Parts says:

@jonc67 Thanks for checking us out.
