Stephen Randall says:

I have a 2002 Honda Accord 4 door EX 4 cyclinder, I went to roll down my
front driver side window and it starting to go down but slowly and then it
went completely down. I went to go to roll it back up but it didn’t move
and it just makes a clicking noise when I hit the switch up or down. All
of my other windows work. Any suggestions on what the problem might be and
how I should go about fixing it? Thank you!

1A Auto Parts says:

If the cables are jammed, you may need to loosen them up so that you can
move the window. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

Michael Larson, Sr. says:

watched the above video, got to the part about aligning the window with the
2 holes to remove the bolts holding the window. My window is in the up
position and I can”t move it. I heard a clicking sound when I press the
lever to move the window so I’m thinking that I am getting power to the
motor. How can I move the window so I can take the regulator and motor out?
I would like to order a new one but I’d like to get the old one out first.
Thanks. Great video.

Bonnie Williams says:

I have a 2002 honda accord where the passenger front window and the back
driver side window will not go up or down, but the driver side and the
passenger side back windows work totally fine. Do you think that it is the
window regulator, or would it just be a fuse that went bad?

richvazq says:

Watching this video saved me $500! Thanks for the instructions.

Devin Carr says:

Thanks guys. I am very grateful for the help.

@colinb326 There may be a little slack, but there shouldn’t be much at all.

Kory Ridgeway says:

So my 2001 Honda accord window wont roll up completely, and just not it
droped with braking (Thank God). so does that mean my regulator is broken?

mmmKyronmmm says:

@1aauto Thank you! Appreciate it.

pitbullmanzx says:

great videos on the reapirs. what if my window makes a grinding sound and
sometimes pauses as if stuck? could there be any trash in the gears or
something? should i just get a new regulator?

vovab65 says:

i have an 03 accord coupe whose passenger side window and lock are not
working, the window is stuck halfway up and the lock has no contact with
the power lock button, checked the fuses and they are fine, could it be the
whole switch for the passenger door and is that definately a
motor/regulator issue? any help will appreciated thank you

1A Auto Parts says:

@damnwindowshopper It should be the same as the two door shown. If it isn’t
if should be very close. Hope this helps you out.

Emin Muradov says:

I have done that myself too, what you need to do is try (when you can
actually shift the position of the bolt) to match the earlier factory marks
left by the assembly people, it should be like an imprint of the bolt in
the paint, it should be a rubbed away circle, If you miss it then the motor
teeth will grind, out of track etc. just a thought hope it helps

BirdMantoEagleBase says:

Just wanted to thank you for the video. I was able to complete this fix in
about 45 minutes with a great result. Great job!

Danbury210 says:

Really appreciate you doing this video.

1A Auto Parts says:

If there’s anything sticky on the window you should try to get it off, as
this will slow the window down. You could also spray all for the seals
around the window with a silicone spray. That should also help to speed it
up.

damnwindowshopper says:

is this the same for two door accord????

Its seems so easy by watching this video but I have 2002 Honda Civic Coupe
LX 2Door and I have the same problem! Any suggestions I might need?

maustinusc99 says:

I just did this on my 2000 Accord EX v6. My regulator was different, and
ordered it online for $60. Just took 4 hours after studying this video.
Make sure you have all the tools, grease, painters tape next to you. I also
had baggies for the different families of screws, and I used tape to label
the wire connectors. Thanks 1a-auto!

1A Auto Parts says:

@donmoocao It could be the master switch that has gone bad or you might
have a broken wire between the door and body of the car. I would check
there for any broken or frayed wires. Hope this helps you out.

1A Auto Parts says:

You’re welcome.

squareupnow says:

Thanks, I just replaced my Honda Regulator myself due to this video. I will
buy all my outoparts online from you from now on. thank you very much for
what you do. Sincerely

Philip Barrett says:

Excellent video. Saved me over $300

1A Auto Parts says:

If the window dropped it either means the motor broke internally or the
regulator cables snapped causing it to fall.

ArizonaAdventures says:

just removed one from our 2002 accord….I now know why you demo on a
working regulator lol our bound up and the cable was jammed, couldn’t move
the window up or down and had to blindly unscrew the two bottom10mm bolts
with a wrench (real fun lol). Finally got it removed and will install a new
one after a little lunch 🙂 Def. worth doing yourself though, dealer wanted
400 bucks and that was only with 1 hr labor, I know they would have charged
me more when they saw what I saw. AWESOME video!!!

1A Auto Parts says:

@Waterpolodude3 If you need to replace the window regulator you can take
the door panel off and try to push up on the window from inside of the
door. If this doesn’t work you could cut the window regulator cable, then
that should free the window up so that you can then push it into the up
position and tape it into place. Hope this helps you out.

Daniel7133 says:

I’m having same problem, can roll down just fine and gets stuck on the way
up. Just clicks while motor runs but wont go higher. Please let me know
what you did to fix it and if you did it yourself or had someone do it for
you/for how much? Anyone help would be greatly appreciated TY!

Terry Sagan says:

Hi May Honda accord 1998 window is loosen; not firmed. As I watched your
video its look like if I tight two screws holding window (you did in last)
can solve this problem. Please let me know should I proceed. Thanks for
quick reply

There may be some adjustment on the window that you might need to make.

donmoocao says:

Hi, your videos are really good and informative. Both my driver side window
and passenger side window in my Accord coupe will not work using the
buttons on the driver side. However, the passenger side window works if I
use the button that is on the passenger side. Is this fixed by replacing
the regulator on the driver side or is it a different part that I should be
replacing?

Matthew Vonhofen says:

@1aauto Yeah, this is what I needed to do to my car, I ordered the part for
an 04 on your website, much cheaper than the dealership, they wanted like
250 for the part and 150 for labor

richard abad says:

This video is very informative! I’ve got an accord that the driver side
window is not closing up completely but will go down without a problem.
Before I order the part in your website, you think I would need a regulator
with motor or just the motor?

1A Auto Parts says:

@mmmKyronmmm You may want to remove the door panel and roll the window up
and down while you look inside to see if the regulator is binding on
anything.

Scorpio76688 says:

Very cool video! I have a 02 honda accord. My drivers window regulator
works fine..the window goes up and down but when I try to make the window
go up all the way, it will hit the top and drop down about a quarter inch.
It was working fine but one day it started doing it. If I play with the
window I can get it to the top but it leaves a small gap that lets air in.
It wont make it to the top. Also, my brother has a 93 Toyota celica
Convertible, is there a video to replace the Convertible top?
