Oh yeah, I already did this and the cables is the most difficult part of it.
At 20:07, you replace the cord (door pull) back to the door pull handle. My door pull handle will not lock once I replace the cord. Every time I connect it, I attempt to put the panel back on, then the door pull cord becomes undone from the door pull handle. Do you know where I can start regarding this? Thank you so much for your help.
part number?
Would this be the same procedure for a car with manual locks (no actuator)?
How did you determine that the issue was the cord and not the actuator? I changed the actuator on my car but it still doesn't open from the inside. Now I'm not sure if it the door handle cord that I need to replace or the door handle?
Thanks for a great video. I wouldn't of been able to change my broken opening cable without it. Oem part was only $10 shipped from Amazon. The reassembly was a huge pain but it's fixed and I'm very pleased with it.
These videos are invaluable
Hi. Love your videos! While fixing the window regulator I put the door lock cable wrong and closed the door. Now the lock doesnt turn to unlock and I cant open the door. I know silly but I did it. How can I get inside where the cables are with the door closed? Can I pull the door panel off with the door closed? If I take out the windows controls thing… would I be able to stick my hand inside enough to reach the cables and try to unlock the door? Any advice would be greatly appreciated… thank you!!
