When looking for a mounting kit for the stereo am i supposed to look for a
kit that is for the specific model of stero that i buy, or one for the car
model/type?

Brandon B says:

You should of grounded out the parking brake wire to a chassis bolt to
bypass the parking brake to watch the DVD without putting the parking brake
on.

Thanks for posting. This is so helpful! I have a AVH-X26000BT but the
wire harness looks very much the same. It came with a USB cable and a
microphone for the hands-free bluetooth. Any thoughts on how to route
those out into the car? I want to put the microphone on the visor, but I
don’t know where to leave the USB cable. They connect to the back of the
unit. Thanks.

Take from my experience i have the exact same setup same car and head unit
….Never connect illumination wires i had to spend 150 dollars on a
network multiplex.

CharlietoKind says:

this receiver is a 5.7″

Babyface6200 says:

How many inches is it?

podius says:

solder and shrink-wrap, it’s the only way to go. it’s easy too. had a car
catch on fire with your method when i was a kid your age. not worth it.

CharlietoKind says:

the radio code should come on a little card (like a credit card) have you
checked the owners manual for this card? also is there a serial number for
the radio taped to the glovebox ? if not you have to take the radio out,
record the serial number and google “honda radio code website” and click on
the first link. you will also need your vin number. good luck!

cebuanostud says:

@CharlietoKind, by any chance is the radio code sticker(white w/ 5-digit)
placed on the factory radio? it would save me hassle going to the dealer
for this dam code. thanks 😉 btw great video! cool radio!

live4marilyn says:

How could it be nighttime if it’s still daylight on 15:41?

mrsmeyerott says:

Pretty shawdy work only twisting and electrical taping your harness wires.
Good way to short something out. ALWAYS solder and shrink rap these wires!

BrandonSqueeze says:

yeah its a bitch cause ive had my avhp1400dvd for a month and it still isnt
in because of dubshits like this, if you have a car with 2 different plug
ins you have to do more. you have to buy a $100 dollar wire harness kit.
ive put $500 into my new stereo so far and its not even in my car. fuck you
dumbass

jose romero says:

Your bulbs burn because u didn’t unplug the battery

xiuquiquimamcy says:

good shit man!

chevelle396guy says:

Ive never disconnect a battery when doing this kind of work either and I am
a certified mechanic in the field for 20 years. Go fuck yourself and piss
on someone elses video.

namski2410 says:

Good vidoe. Weldone.

CharlietoKind says:

no problem ;). if it is an aftermarket radio, and your car can support it
in the dash, then yes, but you WILL HAVE to cut wires and solder/join them
back together.

CharlietoKind says:

so you can watch dvd’s … otherwise with it disconnected, it will be a
blue screen saying something similar to driving and watchign dvd’s are
dangerous.. apply parking brake .. it has to do with it being illegal in
the us

Vaibzz Desaiz says:

NIGGA, JUST PUT IT IN PARK!

KIDOE LIFTS says:

That’s why you disconnect the battery right ? So you don’t fuck shit up
like burning out the clock right ….I’m new to this

Ben Corcoran says:

easy man, its his car let him do what he wants.

blaziankhmer says:

not if you drive a BMW, it’s angled towards the driver.

Alan Smith says:

take the battery off so you dont burn out the bulbs

Roman Piska says:

hey man, have you try to connect also built-in steering wheel volume
control? I’d like to change my old 2-din head unit too.

JOSE LOZADA says:

WHAT IS ILL CABLE FOR?

joshster89 says:

Be careful with the orange and orange/white connections. You can blow your
instrument cluster if you connect them wrong. Also, you need to connect the
radio’s light blue wire to the light blue on the honda harness.

FayazPatL says:

why did you connect it to the parking break?

RasDil says:

Thanks dude! 🙂

Skwid Productions says:

What kit did you use? I might go for the same one, as I’ll probably get a
Pioneer AVH-2500BT. Even if I don’t, the one I do purchase will probably
have a similar size and feature set.
