I put a new $9 carb on my Stihl MS180. Works perfectly.

Chris Oliver says:

Can’t agree with you more, Steve. The Amazon knock-offs work just as well as the OEMs, for 1/5 of the cost! I have given up rebuilding carbs on all of my small engines, from string trimmers to blowers to even my zero-turn. No longer worth the time and effort. For under $20 each, I throw on a new carb every year, and they start up first pull. Amazon is a gift for any of us who work on their own small engines.

Donald Tingle says:

Did same thing with my Mantis, kit came with all gaskets and lines fuel filter for 13.00

Danny Henderson says:

That's the only way to do it

Brian King says:

I fixed 3 of these last year with aftermarket carbs.

JyveKilla says:

so many missed chances to say… deeeezzzz nutzzzzz

Gus Swenson says:

I did this exactly the same thing 3 years ago to the one I have.. Have had no more problems since..
Works great..
Did this on a few other mowers and blowers and worked great.
Thanks for sharing..
Stay safe and always be kind.
Cheers

Steven Gamsby says:

I’ve done that many times myself Steve the carb kit cost more then the Amazon carb cost with less work I have 2 that just came in the shop with the same problem old gas left in the unit cheaper to replace the carburetor with a Amazon carb the rebuild the original carbonic.
