Just went this morning to get the car quickly checked. Was told the motor
mounts were going bad or are no good. I hear a brief clicking sound when
making a right turn and when the car is in motion it wants to suddenly veer
to the right pretty bad. Any suggestions on which one to fix out first or
which one could be the main issue? Thanks.

I have a 2010 Fusion with a broken passenger side mount. Fluid’s gone and
the rubber’s in pieces. I get a lot of banging, thumping, and while on a
hill, I’ll get a growling/grinding noise. I also got a bad shake from the
area on the highway and the transmission kicks. Will be $222 to replace.

Nestor Carrillo says:

Would I experience vibrations while braking if the front, lower motor mount
were broken? I hear rattling but only when the car is in drive and I’m
applying the brakes (such as when at the stoplight).

rodinho headley says:

Does this mount come with a bushing?
Anyone knows?

Jashlee Magumpara says:

So i used this method, but for some reason when we put the new mount as we
tighten the middle rubber twist. What could cause the middle part to twist
while tightening the 19mm bolt. Help pls.

Paragon Ganex says:

I have my whole mount gone, I was wondering do I have to jack it up can I
just slide the new mount in? And how long are the bolts, could i get them
at a home depot or lowes?

Kevin McNeil says:

Thanks homie!

Nice reference to your grand dad. Nice to know that the young
generation pays attention and remember their listens in life.

Awesome Vid

mrsemifixit says:

Where do you place jack? Does the engine need to be supported?

TheJeepinDad says:

Thank you for posting this video. VERY helpful and inspirational.
However, so ok, the most difficult part of this procedure is getting the
new mount onto the spindle. Working on a 97 CRV is same procedure as the
Civic. But, apparently slight difference of ability to easily slide on the
new mount to the spindle.
So, I placed about 100 pounds of iron weights from the home gym on top of
the valve cover, voila, pushed the engine down JUST enough to slide the
lower engine bracket onto the spindle. 🙂 Genius?
I tried various other approaches. Wish I would have thought of the weights
before I started, could have been done with entire procedure in 15 minutes
including clean up. hehe.

No you don’t have to Jack the motor up….I just changed in less than 15
minutes…..it’s easy. Ths was my first time on a honda. Cake

motor mount. i see so much of this. why video and cut half of it out
