excellent instructional video. I really think this will help me. I especially like how you voiced over the video for more clearer instructions. Thank You
…Maybe a bit too much time spent at the beginning of the video jacking up car & loosening lugs, but it did however make it pretty much ‘idiot-proof’. Very good, helpful and detailed. Thank you.
Very good detailed video here on changing pads. I have a 95 Accord and need to change the rotars and pads. I hope you have or will have a video on how to change rear rotars?
so helpful
Great, if you can manage to do that, but keep in mind this is a DIY for people at home using the most readily available tools. It’s still fine doing it the way we did.
Will there be a video tutorial on how to replace the Brake Master Cylinder, the Brake Calipers, the Brake Pads and the Brake Rotors?
Thanks for the correction. Sometimes wording gets mixed up.
17mm, not inch.. ??
Good to hear! Glad we were of assistance!
It was the same. Thanks for this
Should be pretty close. I don’t exactly remember, so I can’t say for sure. Sorry.
Would this tutorial be relevant for a 98 acura cl? If not, where could I find a tutorial for my car?
Yeah, sorry. At least this video might give a clue.
Thanks for the video — However, I have a 97 accord lx V6 and there was no way I was getting the brake pads out without removing the entire caliper and bracket for the pads. Otherwise, I really appreciate your help!
:)
Don’t need to resurface all the time.
You forgot to resurface the rotors…and that’s the hard part taking out the rotor…guess you forgot or don’t know how to do it..jajaja…
Yeah, I’ve seen people do that. I’m not sure why our guy didn’t do it this time. I think the only reason for that is if you have a full bottle of brake fluid.
I thought you need to open the master cylinder cap before you compress the caliper. That’s what I had to do.
Glad it helped!
Good to hear. Remember us when you need parts 🙂
Should be very similar!
Hi,
Changing brake pad is pretty universal for hondas. Unless it’s a ford :)
Good video im gonna follow this procedure too change my own.. the only thing is i have an 89 Accord.. should be slightly same right?
Great video…After watching this…Ifeel like I can do this myself instead of paying someone to work on my Honda!! Thank you much!
You are welcome. Have a great day.
