up to get at the pads
but uhm… lol nice vid thanks
Thank you for noticing
Thanks, appreciate it.
That’s a new one to me. I’ve broken a caliper bolt off before, but I could
still get the caliper off, so I just replaced the caliper bracket. I’d like
to hear from anyone else if you’d had this problem before and resolved it.
So I have a 95 civic and the front breaks sound like shit! So I’m gonna buy
the new breaks this weekend. My fiance said he will put them on for me I
told him not to worry about it I was gonpna find out myself how to do it.
He says if I can put them on by myself it will b the hottest thing I’ve
ever done!!!! So thanx to ur channel I think I can do it by myself. Oh yea.
I’ve never worked on a car b4. Only put oil water in and gas. Wish mme
luck*******
And thank you, for your comment.
Is the top bolt on the calliper supos to just slide out like that or not
becouse imma try n do that to mine
Thanks
Yeah, sorry if there were lots of buts, and uhmms lol. Thanks for
commenting.
Question for ya looking to do a brake job on a 95 del sol, took a look and
bottom bolts on both LR front calipers are brocken into the caliper
bracket, Any suggestions on how to get it out?. Thinkin a left drill bit if
I can find one small enough for that little caliper bolt pins..also the
rear is completely rusted up.. I tried getting the rear calipers off but
its a mess.. winters really fucked up this little honda ,any one have ideas
on how to get those bolts out?
Dude- one word: jack stands. Don’t do demos and show young kids and old
dopes unsafe practices. You’ll never know how many people took your advice
and got smooshed. Jack. Stands. And disconnect the battery. And wedge the
wheels. Other than that, nice video.
You have got to pump the brake pedal until it hardens up after you’ve
installed your new brake pads.
Just out of curiosity.. do u live in West Virginia? lol it really looks
like it in a couple videos
Where are you doing this? I can’t do any repair in my apartment parking
lot. I need to find an empty parking lot too.
sorry not making fun of you , it was just funny to hear. + good vids
Oh yeah, I wasn’t thinking you meant it in a demeaning way, but thanks for
clarifying though lol
No problem, thanks for your awesome comment
sweet and clear and to the point
nice vid man thanks. im gonna watch it again to make sure the guy who did
them did them right.
No problem, glad I could help.
You should always bleed the brakes to make sure there is no air in the
lines after doing any kind of brake job.
No problem, I’m glad it helped.
Do you not see the jackstand behind the jack?
Save yourself a lot a frustration and a headache and just drill out the
screws on the rotors if you need to replace them or have them turned. You
don’t need to replace the screws.
Just did breaks on 93 hatch, thank you for tip on piston. mine stayed in
the out position and was a pain the first time to compress without bleeding
the lines. thank you your video helped me do this. =0
very helpful mate, i appreciate your videos. they are a lifesaver. keep up
the good work :]
Thanks for the video it helped out
Is this the same for 96-00?
Where did you get that caliper. whats the PN on it? I really appreciate it.
i cant find one online that looks like it. If you email me at
adioman1987@yahoo.com it would help out alot. Thank you
awesome vid
So do i have to bleed the front breaks after i put my new pads on? Thanks
I don’t know if that’s a question about geography, or about the way I do
things; but to answer your question, no I don’t live in West Virginia lol
Thank you!
yeah it should be the same, but I have a video for the 96-00 civic though.
Lol thats one way to do it
Love this, It helps when you have a broken wheel stud and need to place
them 🙂
Thx for the video man! saved me some money which is always good!
Hey HondaHowTo1, these videos are cool! Thanks for all your efforts. Quick
question, I have a 92 civic si with rear discs not drums. Is the caliper
removal procedure similar to this one?
