I have a 1997 Honda Odyssey it had the three engine mounts changed but RockAuto said there is a transmission mount. Can you help me with where it goes thank you

Can anyone advise me on this.
I have a 07 Accord 4cyl AT she has 219k I just replaced the starter and the battery. When I put her into a gear D/R she slams into that gear, when I try to accelerate there’s nothing? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Customer: it's only 2 bolts and its right in top.
My thoughts: then do it. Lol

@derekmaldonado3300 says:

Is this a 4cyl 2.3?
Is it Automatic or manual transmission

@martyivanoff9939 says:

My accord has a "thunk, or a clunk" when i put into reverse ( but not always) would you be of the opinion its the transmission mount that needs replaced ?

@ryanwyrick6947 says:

You're the only one that I feel like might be normal enough logical enough and willing enough to help me possibly. I did a full rebuild in the front suspension and the first job I did was struts and rotors but I pulled out of the driveway of where I did it and instantly had a vibration shutter on acceleration and it has not gone away now that I've replaced every suspension part. The vibration I have feels just like a CV inner CV joint wobbling around but it's not I replaced everything and not just because I wanted to fix this I was already planning on doing this and had most of my parts already so I went out and bought two axles for 200 bucks total and I'm not disappointed because now I have lifetime warranty axles and new suspension and yes it feels great but I believe the lower transmission mount might be the culprit the one you pointed out with the three bolts. I have a knocking sound down by my feet and sometimes it's pretty loud it doesn't matter if I'm swaying back and forth on the road or turning or breaking or accelerating I hear this knock sound and it's a hard enough knock that I can feel it through the floorboard and in the pedals sometimes. I just did a 2-hour round trip with these symptoms and I must say it feels like it's getting worse but it's not really affecting my acceleration everything is good Oh and before I forget the stub axle or intermediate axle as they call it is just fine all I did was replace the CV axles because there was no play in the intermediate shaft. I don't even know where to start let alone where to end but this has to be amount there's nothing else it could be really but one of the things that I have going on is a mystery however it could easily be caused by the vibration on this side which is the driver side where the transmission mount is but it's the driver's side front rotor the outside surface has scarring as if everything wobbling around has allowed the pads to contact the rotor while shuddering. I've never heard of loose break parts doing this I mean it literally wobbles through the floorboard and seat and the energy feels like it goes out the back. By the end of the Wobble the rear wheels feel like they're wobbling. Soon as I get to cruising speeds on flat ground everything's fine and even if I get going slow enough through the gears I can make it so there's minimal vibration but any kind of load this vibration comes no matter what. It seems like it's only relative of torque and I pulled it up to a Les Schwab to have my buddy look at it and sure enough while holding the break down and giving it some gas I heard a little grinding sound going from drive to reverse. Also he said that the motor was twisting when I hit the gas so that tells me it's either the motor mount or transmission amount. So then I end up on this video and all of a sudden I hear you say something about one of the motor mounts was also basically a transmission mount So I'm wondering what the heck. Here's the best part I had power steering fluid leaking on everything for the first year until I realized some dingbat loosened the power steering hose fittings for whatever reason and never tighten them down all the way. I couldn't believe it that's all I had to do but not before a whole bunch of fluid leaked all over mounts and who knows what else. I'm just wondering if you or anybody in here has had CV axle symptoms end up being a motor mount and sorry I had to drop such a long comment but I guess the more communication the better

Awesome video

DIY guy post a video on installation says it's a 5-minute job leaves out the most vital instruction and that vital instruction takes solid 45 minutes to take off said part for fuel tank filler neck.

I have a 98 accord and see you still reply to comments and hoping you can help me. I blew my ecu cruise control fuse and my D3 or D4 light came on and stayed on about 2 months ago. After that gear 1 and 3 didn't work and when I put it in gear there was a loud yank to the car that gives the impression my mounts were bad. Once I figured out my fuse was bad the car shifted softly again except reverse still makes a hard loud yank when put into gear. Do you know what might be causing this? Could the hard yank broken the mount or have caused serious damage to the transmission?

Great job. Thanks for sharing.
